Conley Jr Consensus #4 player in the Draft
Quote:
Latest Update
June 24:
Updates from eight of our existing mocks, and we added The Great Blogger Mock Draft 2007.
Mike Conley Jr. continues to move up, now at No. 4, with Brandan Wright sliding down to No. 5.

The Hawks should look really careful about getting him. It's not that much of a reach anymore according to many mocks.

Re: Conley Jr Consensus #4 player in the Draft
I'm not so sure Memphis and Milwaukee are bluffing their interest in Conley. They just want Atlanta to draft him so they can have a better shot at someone else, IMO.
Having said that, I like Conley a lot. I'm just not sure if these other team's interest in Conley as a top five pick is legit.

Re: Conley Jr Consensus #4 player in the Draft
The reason he's being rated so highly in mock drafts is almost entirely based on the belief that Atlanta will reach for him at three or someone else(Milwaukee) will reach for him at six.It doesn't have nearly as much to do with his intrinsic value as it does with the belief that one of those teams will draft for need rather than drafting the BPA.

You just want the hawks to take, him so someone could slip to ya'll at 5. Atlanta can get their point at 11, COnley isn't a can't miss PG.

no...because i dont even want to have the number 5 pick when the draft comes around...the celtics need and will trade the pick by thursday...i want the hawks to take him becuase youve taken a forward the last 5 or whatever years in a row...the equivalent of the detroit lions chosing recievers every year for the past 5 years when they have no qb to pass the recievers the ball...why have a half dozen forwards with no pg to pass them the ball??

I think the fear of passing on the next MJ type players (BPA over need) really impact the decision on some fans. I don't agree with it because that's more like an exception more than a rule.

if conley goes in the op 10 it will be the worst draft mistake in known history, hes been riding oden`s jock for years
between the oden factor and his fathers representation of other more storied prospects this kid is the most overhyped in years

i don't know about most overhyped, Randy Foye, was pretty overhyped with people calling him the next D wade, and Adam Morrison was overhyped to. Conley is the most overhyped in this years draft, along with Noah, though.

I think that's little harsh, reminds me of a lefthanded TJ Ford, i do think he would be there at 11, wouldnt take him at 3.

Re: Conley Jr Consensus #4 player in the Draft
I think Conley is a great player, but can't help but think Memphis' interest in him is not real. I guess we'll see on draft night if Milwaukee and Memphis take him or not. I think they really want Horford and are talking Conley up.

Re: Conley Jr Consensus #4 player in the Draft
how many guys 6`1 + 170lbs have made major impacts at an nba level in the last decade ??
chris paul(kinda) and allen iverson
Conley is not and will never be of that calibre,he`s soon to be another overpaid nba benchrider

Re: Conley Jr Consensus #4 player in the Draft
TJ Ford, R.Felton, Bibby, J.Nelson, T.Parker, M.Williams
Some of these guys are around 185lbs but it's not like Conley won't be buffing up some more.
