So what is Atlanta's starting backcourt going to be next year?
Is it Dan Dickau at PG and Jason Terry at SG?
Or Jason Terry at PG and either DerMarr Johnson or Dion Glover at SG?
Or something else?
Please, don't just answer the question, give me some evidence, some facts to back yourself up.
Thanks!

According to Lon Kruger Terry plays PG and Dion Glover
and Dermarr Johnson fight for SG.
Terry hit 10 assist in 4 out of his last 5 games at the
end of the season. He averaged 7.8APG the last of
the month but it probably would have been higher
if Terry hadn't got into a fight with Don Reid and got
thrown out of game.
I'd bet 50 bucks Dermarr starts at SG because he is
a better defender.Good shot blocker for a SG.The
numbers look like he doesn't because he only saw
spare minutes at the start of the season for DIon
got injuried.

JT will definately be the Point Guard. Coach Kruger and GM Pete Babcock have said repeatedly said in chat sessions and in radio interviews that JT is our point guard.
The starting shooting guard will be either DJ, Dion or Ira (if re-signed). I would bet my money on DJ, too, he's a better defender and better rebounder. And he's got some big upside once he maximizes his potential.

Thanks, fellas!
Yeah, I guess that the Hawks REALLY need to figure out whether or not DerMarr Johnson is going to be a player or not, while Dion Glover is a restricted free agent at the end of next season, there's NO WAY that they're going to re-sign that dude, since Jason Terry is going to be expensive ENOUGH to re-sign!
Thanks again!

We are allready over the cap.I am surprised AOL allowed
it to be honest with you.IF Dion does well we will resign
him.He probably will be the 6th man....well Nazr or Dickau
could end up being the 6th man...We will have to see....

Dermarr started the second half, but he played
only spare minutes in the first half. You know
come in a play a couple of minutes then be
took out...He was averaging just under 12PPG
4RPG before the season ended.Although right
now it appears as though he might become a
role player FOR NOW.

Anybody got any word on Dan Dickau, and the chance he has at starting. I really liked his play at Gonzaga and I'm glad he came to a team that will give him a chance to play. He'll knock the trey bomb down this year
word out

Dickau, I doubt he'll start unless JT is traded or injured. But that's not to say he won't get any minutes. He should be one of the first reserves off the bench.
To be honest, I don't expect much out of DD. He looked pretty slow in the meaningless summer game I saw.

Its a bit strange
that the Hawks took the most NBA ready point guard in the draft, but it is a solid fact that Terry will start at the point, and id bet on Demarr at the two. RObinson and Reef at the Forwards and Theo at Center. Thats a pretty interesting lineup with lots of questions that will be answered soon. All us Hawks fans should be verrrrrrrry excited.

It's also sort of weird how the most NBA ready point guard almost dropped to the 2nd round. All the so called "Insiders" said Dickau was looking impressive in workouts and all.
Hopefully (IMVHO) Dickau turns out to be starter-material and we can trade him with some of our over-paid dudes for salary cap relief. (That is, if JT proves he can play PG effectivley again)
