Aldridge Is An Idiot!

_________________________________________________

Ludacris (ATL): Yo, yo, yo, disturbing tha peace in tha house. Yo, DA, it's Luda. I got tons of dough to blow and I blew some on tha Hawks this season. Will I get my dough back with that playoff guarantee or not?

David Aldridge: "Welcome to Atlanta, where the players play"...yo, Luda, I think the Hawks are better, but I don't know about the playoffs. Unless Ratliff can play 70+ games this year I don't think Atlanta's D is good enough to keep teams from scoring.
_________________________________________________

bloodrage4(OHIO): DA do you think the Cavs are better then last year team.

David Aldridge: Yes, I do. I think Miles will be a 20-point guy this season and keeping Davis was a smart move. I'll say what I've said about Cleveland for five years: if Big Z gives them 60+ games the Cavs could be a playoff team. I'm not kidding.

Okay, so if Theo plays 70 games Hawks MIGHT make a run for the playoffs but if 'Z' plays 60 games the Cavs are going to playoffs.

I could bring out some stats
to show how weak the defense
theory is but I would just be
wasting my time.

The Cavs do have a Superstar... with alot of heart and fire...

The Hawks have alot of good players, but they always do, and somehow fall short, if his perdiction is correctly, will you apologize for calling him an idiot? It's all just opinion, relax.

The Hawks haven't always had this good of a roster. Last year's was good but Dermarr was basically a rookie, and the washed up Kukoc was a starter.

Now, a perennial all-star replaces Kukoc and even though Dermarr got hurt.. Newbles a good defender/rebounder.

And Lon will finally have a starting unit he can stick to. Last year he wasn't sure if he wanted to start Jacque or Email, Cal or Nazr, DJ or Glover... this time everything is in place.

His point is that is a strong lineup, but Theo needs to play major minutes in ALOT of games... if you take Theo out of that lineup is it really that much better then last year?

I don't think so... and I think that is what he is saying.

Yes that lineup is much better this year.

LAST YEAR: Vaughn/Terry/Kukoc/Rahim/Mohammed
THIS YEAR: Terry/Newble/Big Dog/Rahim/Ratliff

Okay, that team is MUCH better. What are you talking about? I didn't even mention how we improved our sorryass bench with the transactions of Dickau and Ham and Mohammed is back to a reserve for now.

You still don't get it GeorgiaSports. What Petey was trying to say is Aldrige meant Hawks will be in the hunt for a playoffs spot IF Theo Ratliff is healthy. That's a big IF. If Theo plays as many games as last year, according to Aldrige, the Hawks will fell short one more time because they are too bad of a defensive team without Theo.

I see your lineup... now take Ratliff out of it, except for 10 games... as Aldridge was saying... and where would you be then? Agreed you are much better, but a team of Cassell, Allen and Big Dog didn't make the playoffs. A team of Spree, Houston, Thomas, and some other well paid guys missed the playoffs. It's just as much about chemistry, as it is about talent. Yes your team is more talented, but what about it's chemistry? I read the GM of the Hawks were looking for good guys, and I recalled Big Dog getting into trouble recently...
