Well, not quite, but there's talk of AOL selling the Hawks because of lack of revenue. They got one of the bigger pay rolls in the league, and aren't producing. They can't sell out, no reason to keep them in the ATL.
we have about 1700 users. everyone pitch in 100 bucks, thats 170,000. hmmmmmmm , o well we are a bit short. But I believe after this year the HAwks will start getting more fans, they will be fun to watch with a trio, possible 4 stars with Theo.

Well AOL denied this report either ealier today or later last night, so my bad, but I still don't think the Hawks will stay in Atlanta for long and I don't even think a winning & exciting team could fix their problem.
Even when the Hawks were winning their division with Nique the Omni didn't get packed on a consistant basis, and when the Hawks were making the playoffs annually with Mookie and Mutombo, attendance wasn't great during that run either.
And it's not just the Hawks, the Thrashers and even the Braves are having attendance problem. I guess Atlantans just don't like pro sports.
