Cincinnati more deserving of bid than GW
Can you believe this crap???????
I hope GW draws UC 1st round (if UC makes it), and CRUSHES them.

Re: Cincinnati more deserving of bid than GW
I read that earlier. It's amazing how big headed UC fans have become since they joined the Big East. I guess they feel they're entitled to a bid every year now that they're in a better conference, and everyone else is just bad. I like Andy Kennedy and the players, but their fans make it very difficult for me to root for them. GW is more than deserving of a bid and UC fans better accept it. It'd be funny if UC was denied a bid because the A-10 is going to send two teams instead of one.
They'd better enjoy it now because they'll win about 5 games total next year.
By the way, I think my IQ dropped about 50 points just reading that board.

Re: Cincinnati more deserving of bid than GW
Hicks has gone on record saying UC compares favorably to teams such as GW. They are a brazen bunch.

Parity. Nothing would surprise me. Has GW "peaked"? Certainly their last 10 games are saying something (albeit Pops is a consideration).

Hicks:
"If we go to the A-10, the No. 1 team in their conference is George Washington," Hicks continued. "I mean, we would match up with them pretty well. They're no Villanova or UConn or Syracuse. They ain't got the size that Syracuse has got. They've got very good players, but I just think we're a Tournament team."

UC is 1-2 vs the A10 - they only played the 10th and 12th place teams in this conference!

Christ. They lost to Dayton and Xavier. How in the world do they think they are more deserving then GW.
You have got to love UC. It's their world, and we are just living in it.
I hope they don't make the dance. I will laugh my *** off.

Re: Cincinnati more deserving of bid than GW
If the 'good' GW showed up, they would run UC off the court in the 2nd half. The Cats only go six deep.

Re: Cincinnati more deserving of bid than GW
These UC guys are worried about GW when they should be worried about the MVC.....which will get 4 or 5 teams in while having played nobody in particular. Tonight I heard Joe Lunardi predict that Missouri State will set an all-time record this year.......with an RPI of 19 (that's right, nineteen) they will NOT make the NCAA tournament.

Re: Cincinnati more deserving of bid than GW
So do you guys think Andy Kennedy will get the permanent position there @ Cincinatti?...
I think he's done quite a good job after everything thats gone on at that university these past couple years...

I think he deserves it, but now I'd say it's less than 50-50 that he'll get it. For one thing he may not get an offer, his sin in the administration's eyes is that he was part of the old Huggins regime.
And now, since he's proven himself, he's probably going to get other offers, one of which he may well take just so he can tell UC to shove it.
But then again, he's tight with the kids there, so maybe he will get an offer and will accept it.

Re: Cincinnati more deserving of bid than GW
the funny thing is that all these people who are criticizing GW have never seen GW play. a friend of mine kept telling me how overrated GW was because their schedule was soft, the A-10 was down, blah, blah, blah....
i told him to watch GW play just once and now he is a believer.
it's a shame that everyone's basketball analysis this time of year consists of RPI number crunching and scanning over schedules. if all these people would just watch GW play, they would realize how good they are.
