Breaking News for Explorer Faithful...

HoneyBear has reported that Kimmani Barrett is eligible and on-campus.

Green is 50-50 => awaiting test score but has enrolled and is on scholarship.

That is good news. Congrats! I hear Rodney Green is the real sleeper in your class. Hope he pulls it out for the Explorers.

How does he have an athletic 'ship if he isn't yet qualified?

Re: Breaking News for Explorer Faithful...

If Green doesn't qualify, he will be attending La Salle as a non-qualifier. His tuition will be paid by need-based grants and aid. If he ends up qualifying, he'll be on scholarship. He's waiting for the results from the June 10th ACT test, which will be delayed because he took the test as a same-day registrant and those results typically come back later than the ones for people who pre-registered.

Hopefully he gets the number, but if not, he'll have a year to get himself acclimated to college life and academics. The staff just loves this kid, and not just because he's an excellent player.

According to Explorers Universe messageboard, Rodney Green has gotten the required test score and should be eligible for the upcoming season.

Sorry Steve, that is just incorrect. Just look at the numbers the Scout board gets and your board.
Congrats on breaking the Rodney Green is eligible story. The LaSalle scout board broke the commitments of:

Rodney Green
Kimmani Barrett
Yves Mkongo-Mbala
Brian Grimes
DeSean White
Ruben Guillandeaux

In other words, Scout trumped your board on every single commitment LaSalle had last year.

Re: Breaking News for Explorer Faithful...

The difference between the two boards is that Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson are regular contributors to the news posted on the xsorbit board, while knowlegable basketball perosnalities are frequent contributors to the Scout Board. One board is for proselytizing while the other is reserved for accurate information and thoughtful observations on the La Salle program and the A10 conference.
For different reasons my tagline would not be welcome on either board. ( And besides, as with many of the Scout faithful, I am on " Double Secret Probation" for "all" eternity on the xsorbit board.)

Mik,

Let me correct you. It is not MY board.

Second, the xsorbit guys broke commitments when verified as they speak directly with the coach according to what they told me so first is not always correct as you are aware when you told us certain guys were locks in the Hahn era and they were not. The xsorbit guys also told me that 4ever is the only poster from the scout board who speaks to the coaches. They work in conjunction with the LaSalle-Explorers.com website guys who control the entire content of their website.

You can confirm this with the poster who uses the nickname for the Cinderalla Man.

I really don't think it is about numbers. I'd rather read better content then 3 or 4 guys talking about unrelated topics and the like. I really don't care, I was just giving an opinion.

Re: Breaking News for Explorer Faithful...

Come on Steve. Stop with that stuff. If it is not your board, why do you promote it like a salesman? I don't have problem with it. Don't get me wrong. More than one LaSalle board is fine. I and others like the Scout board for the reason I stated and Always LaSalle stated.

Honeybear speaks to Giannini and he knows about 20% of the stuff that people on the Scout board know. He only had Green qualifying because Giannini spoke at his basketball camp the day before. That is the only thing he has gotten before Scout.

Anyone can ask 4ever and he will tell you that myself, LaSalleFan, CVA43, LSfan77, and about 20 others talk to the staff.

I had the Brian Grimes commitment about 20 minutes after he told Giannini he was coming. You know how I got it? Not from the staff but from Grimes himself. I broke all of the commitments even before 4ever did. I had Green's commitment 2 months before it was announced.

Are you claiming the xsorbit board mods are Protestants instead of Catholics?
Or that most Catholics are NOT conservative?

I searched their basketball thread and don't see anything on religion.

According to the one posting: "In the professional analysis of our current moderators, the above users attempted to disrupt the board and take away the enjoyment of other members especially if they offered a differing viewpoint. The 5 above became known as "Internet trolls" - which means they have total disregard for other members/moderators as real people. We made extraordinary attempts to allow them to return to the community but they threatened the moderators thus they weeded themselves out of our awesome online community. All of them and a few others have been removed from the membership. This will always be the place where true LaSallian values are respected. It is our policy not to discuss these individuals in any of our forums nor show hatred toward them."

Have a good summer.

Mik, I was debating the validity of your board nor the good La Salle folks who post there. I just gave an opinion. I advertise it because i like it. I adverstise lots of things just because I like them.

Peace.
