Re: Syracuse now part of A-10?

Great win by Umass! I especially enjoyed how Jimmy went bonkers on that flagrant foul.

Check that again......947 out of 1709. Thanks for playing though.

I enjoy that Boeheim is still winless against UMass.

JuniorNoboa, I'm not sure you understand the RPI formula. In the new system, a road loss is much more valuable than a home loss. If Syracuse had lost to those lower tier teams on the road, it would've been much easier on their RPI.

The formula: "For the 2005 season, the NCAA added a bonus/penalty system, where each home win or road loss get multiplied by 0.6 in the winning percentage calculation. A home loss or road win is multiplied by 1.4."

Scheduling road games has become a crucial part of maintaining a good RPI.

Gotta love a guy who posts here 30 seconds after the Cuse wins to rub our noses in things, but can't be found with a search warrant after a loss. What happened junior, forget your password?

Re: Syracuse now part of A-10?

Ever wonder why Syracuse is almost always ranked in the Top 25 at the start of every season? Many media members are Syracuse grads and of course they all give Syracuse a vote. May they should call them the Tainted Orange.
