Syracuse now part of A-10?
Take a look at the Syracuse schedule. As of December 8th, they will have played four A-10 schools. The Orange play St. Joe's, Fordham, UMass, and Rhode Island. Every one of the four games is on the SU home court in the Carrier Dome.

Re: Syracuse now part of A-10?
I'll give Syracuse a bit of credit. They were kept out of the dance last year because of their OOC schedule. They still refuse to leave NY, but at least they're not playing every bad school in the northeast this year. They are playing capable opponents. Baby steps, I suppose.
Hopefully 1 or 2 of you guys can take them down.

Re: Syracuse now part of A-10?
Anyone get a return date? NOT. What's played in Syracuse, stays in Syracuse, is the OOC mantra. What, no St Bona (in Rochester or Buffalo). Exception is made for TV specials or a recruits homecomings, as long as it's not a severe test. A 20 yr analysis would probably be interesting, we're always too young to play road games, money issues, yada, yada. That Doom sure becomes a good place to hide out. Don't complain when it bites back(last yr).

Syracuse goes to Virginia in early December. Why go on the road to small arenas when Boeheim can generate revenue at home? The CBE Classic next season in Kansas City and even rumors in a game in Memphis next season. Boeheim has gone on the road many times in the last 20 yrs for its OOC games.

Many times in the last twenty years?Actually the last games I remember him playing away from the dome were in the Garden in front of Syracuse and Big East fans.He didn't play one game he had to get on a plane for until the conference schedule last year. All the big schools stack up on home games, but they also play in one major preseason tournament every single year. You go to Maui,You go Puerto Rico or Alaska or somewhere else and play quality opponents on a neutral floor...Every year.Of course when you go to the NIT they let you stay at home for a game or two.

Aw, come on. Do the math. 1 game out of usually 11-13 games a year for 20-25-30 yrs. Must be about 300 home games vs about 30-40 road games. Won't hardly ever venture (unless it's one TV game/yr) to someone else on-campus court. That's Boeheim, & Calhoun while you're at it. The formula has been in place for years.
The pros at least evoke some creditability in scheduling.
Don't you want to build some thick skin for conference play and beyond.

Their last trip to Olean to take on the Bonnies was 1983.

Kickball. Did I miss something? Is that 1 OOC away game per year excluding tournaments like Alaska, Hawaii, etc? Please tell me he played some other games away from the Dome in his OOC schedule.

Why would a school, who leads the nation in total attendance, want to go to small arenas?

Fairness?
If someone travels to play you, the decent thing to do is travel to play them.
