Re: CollegeHoops.net - Top 144 teams has started
Still think UD has NIT written all over them again unless something grows roots and blooms in places we did not see last year. Expecting frosh to come in and do more than vets like Sandoval and Binnie is usually wishful thinking.
Fully healed I think Wright makes first team. He was pretty spectacular on one wheel last year missing half the season. There are going to be nights where he leaves guys in bodybags. Marcus may end up 2nd or 3rd team based on general all-around skills and consistency as a power guard. I dont see anyone else sniffing All A10. Guard play will make or break the Flyers. If we cant dribble or shoot the J, its curtains. Nevermind fix the FT shooting debacle.

Re: CollegeHoops.net - Top 144 teams has started
My guess for the Flyers would be NIT this coming year as well. I think we will have a player on the all-defensive team. I could see either Marcus or London doing that.

Do you have some new player named London? You would have to to have someone named London on the All Defensive team. Marcus maybe, London Warren no chance in hell.

Re: CollegeHoops.net - Top 144 teams has started
I think London has a shot at the all-defensive team as I said above. He is certainly as quick as any guard in the league, gets a hell of a lot of steals in the time he plays, and as Dante Jackson found out in the summer league, you don't want him two steps behind you when you are on a fast break. He pressures the ball as well as any guard I have seen at UD. It's a good thing we have another player added to the mix at pg in Lowery, because London does foul a lot and we have hardly seen Thomas play. I think WH described him as a major defensive pest, and I agree. He is the type of defender who makes other players commit frustration offensive fouls just to get him out of their space.

Re: CollegeHoops.net - Top 144 teams has started
If there was a stat titled "running incredibly fast making up 20 feet of ground and blocking a fast break layup", London would lead the league. It's so much fun to watch, you can see it coming...feels like slow motion.
Off the ball he's an excellent defender. On the ball he needs some work. He can get there.
You can book Johnson to the all-defensive team right now.

Adam. I'm a great off the ball defender. As long as they don't pass it to the guy I am covering, all's good.

You are right. The fast break block is one of his signature specialties in my mind. And you can see it coming when they pass mid-court. His good jumping ability and great straight line speed make it possible. I think other guys think they are going too fast for anyone to challenge the shot.

Re: CollegeHoops.net - Top 144 teams has started
Just let me get this straight. You guys are saying that one of the best plays for a dayton player is running down a breakaway? As if this happens frequently or it really is that a good thing? How about stopping the breakaway in the first place.....Just to clarify....

One of his best plays = One of his signature specialties? Semantics.
One of the unusual things he does very well, on a frequent basis, and is especially memorable.
On the subject of London, I credit him for locking up a few victories for the Flyers last year with his defensive excellence at the end of games. I expect him to get a good bit more playing time this year with BRob gone, so everyone will get a good look at him.
