But in all honesty, I don't see that happening, as the few 'problematic' Xavier fans here are unlikely to change their ways. They see no difference between the Atlantic 10 MB and the MM MB, and appear to be intent on turning the Atlantic 10 MB into another MM MB, which is most unfortunate for all of us. Blue Dog and A10fan2 are perfect examples of what I'm talking about.

It is worth noting that a number of well-known Xavier posters who enjoy having serious discussions about college basketball have abandoned the MM MB altogether and have migrated to the UDPride MB to discuss basketball, just to get away from the never-ending name-calling and personal attacks that have come to characterize the MM MB.

Re: Xavier recruiting

Who was the person who asked to stop 'misquoting' them last week.

Muddy, how dare you call me a pants wetter. PERSONAL ATTACK.

You used a partial quote to try to prove your 'point', as I also said "with a questionable work ethic", and also 'wet my pants' by saying him possibly filling in 8 or so minutes a game would be monsterous.

But seriously stop with the personal attacks on me! I am not a pants wetter, and I am not mature enough to see the difference between smack and reality. If you keep this up I will start a thread that will be possibly very hurtful and over the top, and then I will threaten to continually bring it up. YOU SIR CROSSED THE LINE IMPLYING I AM A PANTS WETTER!!!

Here's the facts. Our "newbie career pine-jockey" as you called him, is still rated higher than Ralph Hill and as high as Jesse Berry, even with his limited playing time as a senior.

Robinson is a guy who fills a need in the frontcourt for Xavier next year. He won't be counted on to provide anything but a few minutes of rebounding and defense.

How many links did X fans post when Robinson committed? Maybe 5, if that. That's not getting overly excited.

The Jesse Berry link total, for a kid not ranked in anyone's Top 100-150 is off the charts. You guys have posted around 30 plus links about the kid. lol.

Don't forget that "pine jockey" is also ranked as high as oompa loompa's entire '09 class. BWS III is coming. Take cover!

Last I checked, this was an A10 board, so any links that are relavent to the topic is perfectly fine with me. Would I really care if X fans posted 5,000 links on 4ppg Robinson? No, I wouldn't, I just probably wouldn't read them.

Re: Xavier recruiting

Top Recruit Robinson in Class at XU (Cincinnati Enquirer - July 7, 2009) Excerpt:

The 6-9, 210-pound Robinson averaged 3.5 points per game as a senior for Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis.

"Top Recruit" ???

WTF ???

What will the Enquirer use for a headline if Buick Mack signs a player that averaged over 5 points per game as a senior ?

Re: Xavier recruiting

Sad part for the cryers is that Robinson is ranked higher than your sole recruit for '09. Mack did in about 2 months what oompa loompa took years to do.

The kid has more talent in his pinky toe than BWS MK. It's up to Mack and Co. to see if they can bring it out.

Re: Xavier recruiting

I'll tell you what is TRULY imbarasseng for xavier and Mack. In Gregory's 1st class he brought in studs Chris Spearman (other offer Wright St.)and Nick Stafford (Mason, Wilmington, Boston, C. Conn, Hartford, Maine, Sienna). All Mack was able to scrape together was Jeff Robinson (Illinois, Purdue, Butler). We'll see at the end of the day how close Robinson comes to the production of Spearman and Stafford. LMAO at Mack.

In a non-evaluation period of one and a half months, there are 6 new faces on the 12 man hot board, while only 2 players committing to other programs.

Brandon Spearman made both editions of Brian Snow's Xavier Top 12 wish lists for the Class of 2010.

Perhaps Xavier might have made him an offer if they had 12 ships to fill

Re: Xavier recruiting

Xavier only has 3 scholarships for 2010. Just because he was being recruited by Xavier doesn't mean he was offered.

Xavier already has a bunch of guards and I doubt Xavier is going after another shooting guard. Xavier is going to recruit a small forward and probably another PF for 2010.

What's the big deal? Are you trying to validate Spearman by him receiving an offer from X? Obsession.

If you want to believe Illinois Prep Bulls-Eye, go ahead.

Spearman is a good get for UD. I've said that before.

When I said he isn't overly athletic, I meant in the vain of Marcus Johnson or Chris Johnson, both very athletic. Sure, he's athletic but he's probably like Paul Williams athletic. Both are about 6'3, but they aren't high risers.

Where does this post relate in this thread. All X fans acknowledge Spearman as a great get, as well as Staten. This is here to do nothing but inflame.

When X's 10 class lands 1 or 2 of the following :'Spoon, McKenzie, Jamil Jones, Jay Canty, or Justin Martin(all top 150's) will they be given the same respect as X fans have given those 2 UD recruits?

The gushing over our recruits won't be nearly as asanine either. X has a top 75 and rising PG committed for 11 already and there were maybe 3 or 4 links on him total.

St. Joes has an AMAZING class, they aren't shoving it down everyones throat, as well as Charlotte.

Wether Spearman would have or wouldn't have gone to X if he had been offered is irrelevant because they had no role for him.
