Re: Xavier recruiting

If so, then my contribution will have been an opportunity for a clever put down! Some of the best have come from Xavier and or Dayton fans.

Like 5% of that post is relevant. I don't really get the schtick. For that much effort, is should be at least informative OR funny.

Re: Xavier recruiting

Old muddie doesn't seem to realize that Xavier's RPI and win totals seems to go in an oscillating fashion. In the 3 years prior to this:

Quote:
2007-08 – Sean Miller – 30 wins / RPI Rank # 9

2008-09 – Sean Miller – 27 wins / RPI Rank # 15

2009-10 – Chris Mack – 26 wins / RPI Rank # 17

2010-11 – Chris Mack – 24 wins / RPI Rank # 26

2011-12 – Chris Mack – 21 wins / RPI Rank # 37

2012-13 – Chris Mack – 7 wins / RPI Rank # 107*
Xavier was

2004-05 - Sean Miller - 17 wins / RPI Rank # 131

2005-06 - Sean Miller - 21 wins / RPI Rank # 76

2006-07 - Sean Miller - 24 wins / RPI Rank # 32

This is a prime example of Muddy at best revising history and at worst just pure ignorance.

If anything, you have that post totally backwards. Matta and Miller were never especially known for bringing in the big-name, "highly-touted" 4 and 5 star recruits. There were more known for bringing in decent, sometimes off-the-radar recruits and really developing them into great players.

If anything, Mack is going after the more high-profile, highly-touted recruits (and he can do that because of the national success of Xavier's program). UD fans can argue about whether he is developing them when they get to campus.

Good try, Muddy.

MusketeerScoop.com homepage (Rivals.com)

Any word on how Brandon Randolph and Kamall Richards are doing this season ?

I tried a number of relevant Google searches, but I couldn't find a mention of either player.

BTW, on the right side of the MusketeerScoop.com homepage, check out:
Xavier Videos - Kyle Davis Highlights - 1/23/2013.
Well worth a look.

Speak for yourself, unless that is the royal "we".

Scout updated their CLass of 2013 rankings. Brandon Randolph back in the Top 100 at #81.

EC Matthews the only other A10 recruit in the Top 100. Swift next year is another Top 100 kid. W/O the Dez fiasco X would've probably had at least 3 100 kids this year.

#81. Not too shabby for someone who you can't find on a google search.

Wow thats a series trip for probably a half a day.

Although if you did find the birthplace of all things Skyline, trip would be priceless.

EAT SKYLINE .... best mid court ad ever.

I know nothing about the kid, but if Mack is going there mid-week during conference play he must be very serious about him.

"Xavier is one of the best colleges in the NCAA and their lure would be strong."

Love that line from the article.

Even if it should be "allure" the point was made.
