Re: Umass @ Dayton
I just got back from the game. One of the reasons your team couldn't make many shots is that the Flyres were in their shorts all night. The little guard couldn't get any openings. Give Archie alot of credit for putting together one heck of a game plan.

Re: Umass @ Dayton
For some reason I have a strange feeling we're going to beat Temple now. I think we show up pissed and ready to play. Also has anyone noticed that we lose whenever Putney doesnt shoot? He only took 3 shots today. That is a result of the A-10's poor home team biased officiating and explains why we have trouble on the road and do well at home. Fouls took him out of the game, and it was over right there...

Did not expect to win, but thought we had a solid chance. It was painful. Congrats to the Flyers.

Re: Umass @ Dayton
Some of the best defense I have seen by the Flyers this year.

Re: Umass @ Dayton
Not blaming the refs... Our shots just didn't fall, and all of Dayton's did... I'm just making an observation that everytime Raphiael Putney is taken out of a game early because of fouls, we lose. And today followed that trend....

Re: Umass @ Dayton
This UD team has to play a very very very good, near perfect game, to beat anybody by 33. The D was that good tonight. Missed layups, bad passes, players taken out of their game (Oliver starting and guarding Putney) is more on UD then it was UMass tonight. I'm not saying UMass played good, but UD did, really really really good and Archie's game plan was forced on UMass.

Re: Umass @ Dayton
Best defense since WVU in 2009. I think UMass was able to get a good look on their first option maybe 5 times all game. UD was well prepared and executed to near perfection. Just a complete beatdown. Achie and his players performed basketball surgery.

Re: Umass @ Dayton
True. Can't credit our defense for the uncontested misses, but at a certain point, UMass was just frustrated. Our defense has been really bad all year, so saying it was one of better defensive performances does not say much.
