Re: Kenny Frease

Seems to me Kenny Frease has an NCAA track record that is pretty enviable - although he admittedly does not have any NIT championships. 'Course, he's never played in the NIT either - Slacker.

Signed with Walther Tigers (Germany) in EuroLeague. Guess he'll have to put off the job at the Queen City carwash Muddy predicted.

Re: Kenny Frease

admittedly did not follow him that much, basically just our games against X. He just did not seem to improve significantly. He will be earning a good living, which is nice to see from our former A10 players.

Pretty dead on Steve" if he would have made the same strides sr.summer he made jr. Summer he could have been all A10. Just wasn't the hardest worker ever, and never became as physically imposing as he could have been. Lot of natural skill and talent.

Not a sign of a bad kid, just never invested like a Raymond, Love, or Holloway.

Re: Kenny Frease

Kenny's new home. I hope he likes pink:

Paul Horn Arena - Tübingen, Germany (Capacity: 3,132)

In 2011-12, the Walter Tigers Tübingen finished in 12th place for the third year in a row in the Basketball Bundesliga.

Best of luck to Kenny.

Walter Tigers Tübingen 2012-13 Roster

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Economic Situation in European Basketball: Germany (In the Game.org - June 15, 2009)

Players’ Salaries

Managers often refer to a lottery phenomenon in the league: who’s the team that signs most surprises, i.e., rookies out of college. The rumored salary for those players is as low as 2000 USD net per month. It sounds resonable considering the low budgets of some clubs.

Small Budget Clubs

As small budget clubs I count all those clubs where it is known that they only have a budget just above the Bundesliga’s minimum budget or where there are still some doubts in the licencing process for 2009/2010.

Walter Tigers Tübingen surprised many as they only got their licence under a resolutive condition. It was generally known that they played with a small budget, but that they were not able to show 40 % of their sponsorship contracts by end of May came as a surprise.

Additionally coach Öngören was released just after the end of the season. A newspaper wrote that the club was not willing or able to fulfill his requests for a more professional structure.

Re: Kenny Frease

You actually quoted an article that is 3 years old about player salaries. Is there no end to the depths you will stoop? Quite sad and pathetic. Similar to the digs you took a Burrell a few years back that is now blowing up in your face because of his financial success.

Re: Kenny Frease

Let's see now;

Door #1: Graduate in 4 years, get a chance to play basketball and get paid for it, have an opportunity to keep developing and make more money, see wonderful cities in Europe, etc.

vs

Door #2: Leave college, go to work for former coach as graduate assistant, get arrested and fired along with team player for driving around while drinking and having firearm discharged, etc.

I'll take Door #1 Bob.

But, but, but....what about the arena attendance record????

My God you are on a roll.

I know he makes himself an easy target - I like that he needs to dig for 3 year old articles to make a worthless point - but keep beating him to a pulp.

I wonder if muddy has the same things to say about one of his beloved flyers who just graduated and also signed with similar German Euro league team.

I wonder what the original "traffic cone" Jimmie Binnie is up to.

Congratulations to Kenny !

November 5, 2012: Kenny Frease plays in Germany for Tubingen Walter-Tigers.

He had four points and two rebounds in 11 minutes in the team’s last game, a loss.

In a stat that probably isn’t surprising to many XU fans, Frease went 0-for-3 from the free-throw line.

Thanks for the edit, XU95. I did at least use dollar signs, though.
