Kenny Frease

What was the +/- for Kenny today???

Seemed like Xavier played much better when he was on the bench

Men's Basketball Receives Four Signed National Letters of Intent (Xavier University - November 19, 2007)

Quote:
CINCINNATI - Xavier head coach Sean Miller announced today that he has received four signed National Letters of Intent from prep players that will be Musketeers beginning in the 2008-09 season. The four players added during this signing period are: Kenny Frease, a 7-0 and 265-pound center from Massillon (Ohio) Perry High School . . .

Frease was listed as No. 40 on the ESPN 150, No. 41 by Rivals.com, and No. 45 by Dave Telep of Scout.com.

Total dominataion in the paint.

Congratulations to The Professor on an outstanding game!
Kenny Frease was seriously over-rated as high school senior, and he has remained so ever since.

Best of luck to Kenny at the Queen City Car Wash next year.

Re: Kenny Frease

Kenny has come to play down the senior stretch, and we wouldn't be in the NCAA without him. Anyone that thinks differently is a fool. Have fun with the Frease bashing Muddy. I won't go down to your level. I am rooting hard for my Dayton Flyers in the NIT. I think that Dayton is uniquely positioned for a NIT run. They have far more experience than anyone else in the field.

Re: Kenny Frease

Hey what was Frease's line in the Xavier/Dayton game? Don't remember? 17 and 7!

How about in the NCAA tournament this week?

Frease wasn't rated that high for his awesome fundamentals. Those top 40 ratings are based on body measurements. The sooner we all admit that...

Frease wasn't the main reason X lost. As heard on the broadcast, their rushed three point shots with plenty of time left was "just bad basketball," then the Xavier offensive rebounding almost bailed them out. I blame the highly touted guards, not Frease. Frease was incidental to the losing, and he couldn't do enough to erase Xavier's guards deficit. But he wasn't a primary component of the loss. He's not the guy who gave up 5 of 6 from three early on, which is what put the Bonnies way ahead (did Bonnies miss all their three pointers after halftime??)

Re: Kenny Frease

Frease has been and continues to be a huge disappointment. He has some good games but far too many bad ones. He has played on some great XU teams and gotten to the NCAA's every year at XU. UD fans can make fun of him all day long. XU is the team once again in the NCAA's while UD watches and XU and Kenny have owned UD over the last 4 years.

When the highest-rated player on your team (Kenny Frease, who also happens to be a senior) gets out-scored by 19 points and out-rebounded by 10 boards by his counterpart (Andrew Nicholson) in the Conference Championship Game, he's over-rated, which was what I posted above.

Re: Kenny Frease

Relevance? Season is over and both are Dancing while your boyz languish in the Not Invited. Who cares? It's the postseason. Getting your team in the Dance is all that matters. Do we care if so and so scored one more point than so and so? Hell no. IT'S OVER! Move on. Kenny scored over a 1000 points in his career and made two huge FT's against the team we had to beat - SLU. Hopefully, this is the last KF rant. Give it up!
New Day.

Re: Kenny Frease

Frease certainly proved to be over-rated and a disappointment. I haven't heard anyone from Xavier say otherwise. But he wasn't even matched up with Nicholson.

No more Muddy deflection.

I have to ask seriously because I'm not going to look it up: when was Dayton last in the NCAA Tournament?

How many NCAA Tournaments has Dayton made since - I'll pick a nice round number - 2000?

Cook defended him most of the game in what I assume was an attempt to keep Andrew's fouls to a minimum.

Re: Kenny Frease

He was 19/14 against Richmond, 18/12 against Charlotte and 17/7 against Dayton, all games we had to have down the stretch. Who else was going to get those #'s for X? Yes, he is inconsistent.
