I trust you'd also be of the opinion if I posted links (multiple times) of Weber St and whoever the hell they lost to that earned them an RPI of #347 when they beat UD at home, that I would also be adding substance to the board.

Elivs, honestly I think you may be THE ONLY person that posts here that believes Muddy "adds substance" or that you are "interested in most of what he posts." You do understand "most" (and by that I mean 98%) of what he posts is about Xavier and is usually delusions, lies, misconceptions, outdated or totally irrelevant information. But the resident UD moderator, is interested in this, enjoys it and believes Muddy adds substance?? Haha

Very nice recognition for Dillard and UD. Team is starting to play better as a unit. Lots of talent on this team and the pieces look to be in place. Archie has the rotation to where he wants it with Alex and Derenbecker being the odd men out for now. Time will tell if everything falls into place.

In the last 5 years, Dayton has missed out on 2 NCAA Tournaments - likey due to season-ending injuries to key players.

Last season, the Flyers leading rebounder and best frontcourt player Josh Benson was lost for the season on December 30, 2011.

Little Out 4-6 Weeks With Broken Bone In His Foot (DaytonFlyers - January 18, 2008)

University of Dayton junior forward Charles Little has a fracture in one of the sesamoid bones in his right foot, it was announced today. The injury, which occurred during Wednesday's game with Massachusetts, does not require surgery and Little will be out four-to-six weeks.

Little is the second Flyer forward to be sidelined recently.

Freshman Chris Wright had surgery Monday to stabilize a fractured bone in his right ankle.

Dayton, 14-2 and 2-1 in the A-10, is ranked 14th in the latest Associated Press poll.

So yes, the Flyers underachieved, but it was due to the injuries of key players at the beginning of A10 conference play. These unlucky injuries quite likely kept the Flyers out of the 2008 and 2012 NCAA Tournaments.

While Muddy has legitimate points, we haven't had injuries every year. Our former coach was terrible against teams that were familiar with him. Bottom line. But Bill, is it ridiculous to say someone who scored 11 and 5 and was easily the best frontcourt player and defender was part of the reason we missed an at large? We were a Kav 3-footer away from beating X in the A10 tourney and very possibly getting an at large bid. We weren't that far off. I absolutely think losing Benson hurt. Your team beat us when we were missing Benson and Chris Johnson too.
