Re: Temple sophomre Aaron Brown to transfer
Um, okay. This wasn't really the place for that and AB isn't a reason why we'd have a down year. He's a good player, but it was simply a numbers game at SG/SF.

Re: Temple sophomore Aaron Brown to transfer
This further reiterates my point that Temple will not finish top 5 this year. It's almost a foregone conclusion at this point.

Re: Temple sophomore Aaron Brown to transfer
Yeah, I think the combination of some personnel losses plus the fact that everyone will be motivated to gang bang the Owls before they leave will have them around .500 in league play next winter.
Brown was a solid player that deserved more minutes. |

Re: Temple sophomore Aaron Brown to transfer
Disappointing to see him go, but it won't have a significant impact on the Owls' fortune this season. Brown was a good role player, but he would have still been stuck behind 6 or 7 guys for playing time and would have had to battle for scraps with the incoming freshman class. If Scootie hadn't sustained an injury last summer and subsequently redshirted, Brown would likely have a more expansive role this season. Best of luck to him.

Re: Temple sophomore Aaron Brown to transfer
Why do you say Wagner? Dan Hurley (H.S. coach) is gone and so is the majority of the staff. Obviously, migrating to URI would seem like a logical choice for him, but I can't see him waiting out 2 years before he's eligible again. I wouldn't be surprised to see him land at a CAA school like Drexel or VCU.

Re: Temple sophomore Aaron Brown to transfer
Oh no, looks like JHG is already developing that condescending Big East attitude. I see a little superiority complex here. Will being in the Big East help you win more NCAA tournament games? Sure hasn't helped most of those Big East teams lately...

Re: Temple sophomore Aaron Brown to transfer
It will be a struggle in the big east for temple, undoubtedly. It may lead to the school achieving more football aspirations, but basketball-wise, strugg city!

Re: Temple sophomore Aaron Brown to transfer
I agree with the Temple fans here. While none of us have any reason to be concerned with their program 12 months from now, I think they are strong enough to continue make tourneys once they join the BE. I don't care one way or the other, but rationality says they are a good hoops program regardless of conference.

Re: Temple sophomore Aaron Brown to transfer
I didn't say anything about Temple's future in the Big East because I really don't care. They have an excellent program, so I'm sure they'll handle the move just fine.
I just think they are going to get gang banged next year in the A10. |
