so you are saying you don't think Umass can win the Championship in 2013-2014 season? The team is going to be stacked with talent and senior leaders. they will be one of the teams in contention for the title that season no doubt in my mind.

Is there a problem with someone being realistic and positive at the same time? When making predictions you don't always have to be pessimistic to prove how much of a "knowledgeable" "realist" you are. The sky is the limit for this team next year. With an older Chaz Williams surrounded by all of this talent and heart on the team, it would have to take a very, very good team to stop us. What we lacked last year was beef in the paint, getting abused over and over by big physical teams. We now have that beef with Lalanne and Sampson Carter coming back. We can also go 3 guards if we need to now because of Laguerre, who also pushes Riley to the bench, which is another positive. With the talent, experience, and refuse to lose attitude that this team has, I will be utterly shocked if we don't go to the NCAAT. This team has at least Sweet 16 potential next year, and I wouldn't be shocked to see them go to the Final Four. Beyond that would surprise me.

As for your A-10 predictions. Xavier will reload as always and be near the top of the league. Temple will be a joke next year, with no depth, finishing likely 6th or lower. Let's slow down with declaring St. Joes the best team in the A-10. They will be young still, and that youth showed at the end of last season when they were very unimpressive. They should contend near the top though. The only other team that will compete with UMass at the top is St. Louis. Their team scares me.

I think calling for an "NCAA Championship" is not realistic. A-10 Champs - sure, I can get on board with that even for this coming year. They have NO all-americans, and as of right now, NO NBA prospects - that equals NO NCAA Championship.

Sampson Carter is not "BEEF" he is a swingman at best with limited/inconsistent offense and plays decent defense.

No, no I do not. Though I agree with the rest of your sentiment. Certainly compared to what we've seen the past decade, their talent level is certainly creeping towards a very high level. I think that they will be very good, very good indeed. They will certainly have the talent to compete for the A10 title. But to say that they can win the championships is to overlook all of the great teams and dominant players that are out there right now.
While its true that everyone is 0-0 right now and anything can happen. I understand it takes a lot of very special players, and the road is more difficult than homers would like to admit. Sampson Carter is underappreciated on this team. He is our most solid and sure player. He consistently gets a good number of points and rebounds and does a lot of other different stuff that doesn't show up on the stat sheet. Not a flashy player, but gives us more beef and toughness to our team.

Ok but just want to make it clear I am not predicting a Championship this upcomming season. This upcomming season I said would be Elite Eight or Final four.

Championship Prediction was for the 2013-2014 season were alot of the stars will be senior leaders

First of all, you ignored the rest of my quote where I mentioned how we can now employ a reliable 3 guard lineup with good players. You should have inferred that I was talking about our other weakness last year, guard oriented teams like La Salle. The reading comprehension on this board is top notch!

Secondly, how many times do I have to stress that this is a realistic P-O-S-S-I-B-I-L-I-T-Y. I'm not saying that it will happen for sure, but I do like our chances. If and when it does happen, believe me, I will have a lot of fun bringing up this little thread again and shoving it in all of your faces.
