Re: Non-Conference Schedule

So far, Bona has...

Home: Niagara, Buffalo, Siena, and Cleveland State

Road: Canisius, NC State, Ohio U

Cornell and Arkansas State seem to be obvious opponents, but I'm not sure where those games will be played. There is a likely Big Ten team in Rochester and two more buy games at home. I can't name the names of the schools yet, but those things are happening.

I dont think we did anything to improve their attendance when we played away at MAC schools anyway.

I suppose this is the punishment we get for taking advantage of being there football only.

Hopefully they don't kick us out after two years like they have the ability to do.

Would Illinois be the Big 10 team that the Bonnies are scheduled to play?

Re: Non-Conference Schedule

Updated X's to add Tennessee on the road.
Now have most of the Tennessee schools this year; Vandy, Memphis and UT.
All we need now is Middle Tenn State who finished with 56 RPI last year!

St. Joe's Athletic Director has to win the AD of the year award. According to whats posted above, three OOC road games in Philly and two in Baltimore. Thats got to help the travel budget.

It's called the Big Five. It's sort of brand new so you may not have ever heard of it. They've only been doing it for about six decades

Diable, in what year did Drexel, Coppin State and Morgan State become part of the Big Five?

Re: Non-Conference Schedule

Richmond's is coming together. Don't know if all the details have been pinned down, but here's what I have so far (RealTime RPI in parentheses):

Home:
11/9 Liberty (284)
11/13 UNC Wilmington (213)
11/15 Hampton (306)
11/20 Wofford (177)
11/28 William & Mary (298)
12/1 Wake Forest (182)
12/15 Stetson (267)
12/29 Davidson (64)

Away:
12/18 Kansas (6)
Florida (30)
Ohio (45)
Minnesota (90)
Old Dominion (103)

"Neutral"
George Mason (82) - Governor's Holiday Hoops Classic doubleheader at Richmond Coliseum....other game is UVA/ODU

Certainly the home schedule leaves a lot to be desired. Obviously Wake is a nice team to have even when they're down, and that's a long-running home-and-home series. Davidson is nice too...that's a return game. William & Mary is the historical rival, and a number of other local teams, but generally poor.

The away schedule is looking terrific...love the Kansas game to try to avenge the 2011 NCAA loss and repeat the stunner we pulled off there in 2004. Florida is great...we've played them a couple times now in recent years. Ohio and ODU solid mid-majors, and Minnesota is a nice BCS game that's the front end of a home-and-home. And don't forget the neutral game against Mason...another great mid-major and almost conference mate.

Aneheim Tournament Various Teams - Neutral
Butler (113) Home
Vandy (18) Home
Memphis (16) Home
Purdue (48) Away
Cincinnati (44) Away [they may change this to neutral]
Tennessee (86) Away

Good teams coming to Cintas because we went to their place first.
Still need another good road game, especially if Cincinnati goes neutral.
Strong OOC schedule which should help us on Selection Sunday for at-large pick.

Travelers site list schools advertising for game.
For example, Temple is looking to start H/H with BCS team.
Dayton is looking to start H/H at home with BCS/top 75RPI team, plus looking for 3 buy games.

Go on the road! Play good teams on the road! It can help you dance.
Xavier's first buy game has been announced against Fairleigh Dickson. I believe it is the Lloyd Price Classic. Ski masks will be handed out to the first 1000 in attendance.

Re: Non-Conference Schedule

UR has a monster road schedule. Too bad UR couldn't have had some of the cupcakes on the road and some of the away games at home.

Re: Non-Conference Schedule

Yes tough non conference for Richmond...

Home: Liberty, UNC-Wilmington, Hampton, Wofford, William & Mary, Wake Forest, Stetson & Davidson

Road: Minnesota, Kansas, Florida, Old Dominion, Ohio

Neutral: George Mason (@ Richmond Coliseum) Governor's Holiday Hoops Classic

Well tough games on the road. The home schedule is not too sexy, though W&M is UR's traditional rival, Wake while down is still ACC, and Wofford and Davidson are definitely the best of the SoCon.
