Chaz: .410

TO per game:

Wyatt: 2.5
Chaz: 3.4

Chaz played just under 2 mins. per game more too. Sounds like Chaz needs to stop hogging the ball.
I never said he wasn't your best player last year. He definitely was. My point is that now he has to take on a larger role because of less talent around him. In that larger role, Temple's results will dwindle because he cannot handle it. You sir, are clueless to my argument.

I'll give you the FG%. That is certainly an impressive number. But again, it's like Carmelo. How many possessions will you hog the ball/waste away and therefore blow the game? Unlike the Knicks, Temple has no distributor on their current roster to weather the storm.

The other two stats prove nothing. Chaz's TO and # of shots taken are only higher because of the style of play that we run. We use many more possessions per game than Temple does. Plus, Chaz is a PG so his TO must be higher by default. In fact, with the style of play combined with Chaz's position, the fact that the TO gap between the two is so little should be alarming to Temple fans, and therefore proves my point. Sir, please think before you post random stats that hurt your argument..

My guess is he will be suspended 5 games max. Probably more like 2-3. Prostitution is one step below driving with a suspended license on the "lamest arrestable offenses" list. No drugs involved and no one got hurt. It would be excessive to suspend him for more than a few games.
Clearly you do not know the law at all. "Lamest arrestable offenses" list.. seriously? You thought it was ok to post that?

You do realize national and local governments create specifically trained vice squads made just for this type of crime.
If it wasn't important, they would not waste the resources, people and time just for one of the lamest arrestable offenses..

Agree here.. Not sure what TOs is a relative metric as one handles the ball more in very different circumstances and in different offenses...
Both players are the "Media Cover Boys" for each of the respective programs

Uh, no. If anything, we have more offensive firepower with Scootie back, Pepper, and the two freshmen. Yes, we have a PG, Will Cummings, who played sparingly last year, but is a better PG and defender than Fernandez.

Ok. But you're relying on an unproven PG to be the distributor that tames the one-man show? I don't think that will work if Temple wants to be top 4-5 in the A-10. There's too many teams with good proven commodities at the point guard position, and most have a deeper team around them. I'm not saying they will be bad, in fact they will be decent, I just know they don't have enough to be elite in the A-10 this year.

Also, do you object to the rest of my argument or did you just ignore it because I'm right?

You realize everyone is unproven at some point, right? Wyatt is not a PG. Gimme a break with elite. UMass hasn't been shit since I was like 9.

Yes, I do realize that. I just realize that a young, inexperienced PG isn't going to better than Chaz, Dillard, Mitchell, Jones, Duren, or Theus, in his first year with a larger role.

I will tote elite all I want. UMass finished in the top 5 last year and really came on and played better than almost every team by the end of the year. With Kellogg at the helm, they should be elite for years to come...

Ah, of course. Typical. When one is wrong but can't admit it, they always resort to name-calling and demeaning adjectives... sigh.

Re: Wyatt arrested

Khalif obviously made a very stupid decision. He was going to have a monster senior year too. I doubt we'll see him in Cherry and White again. If I had to to take anything positive out of the situation it has to be the additional minutes that Cummings is going to see now. Dingle and Decosey may get more opportunities off the bench as well. Tough situation.

Calm down, Farva.

I don't want to get in a political debate here, but local and national governments burn cash on many, many pointless endeavors. One of them is arresting consenting adults who want to give or receive a blowie for $50, when actual criminals fill the pockets of the people sworn to protect and serve the public. Please, for the love of Swayze, don't make this more than it is. It is, essentially, a kid making a mistake. A mistake that harmed no one. If anyone takes a hardline stance on that, you must be a miserable person to know.

Re: Wyatt arrested

I've never really understood the appeal of a hooker. You really want to pay money to go someplace you know hundreds or thousands of other guys have already been? You believe she is clean as a whistle and doesn't have every STD known to mankind? You are turned on by her fishnet stockings? I haven't been able to come up with a good reason yet.

Actually, UMass was the 8 seed in the A10 tournament and I wouldn't say a few wins in the NIT qualified them as playing "better than almost every team by the end of the year".
