A little tough love might be good for him.
Because we all know that adults don't solicit prostitutes.

Sorry Nomadic, couldn't resist that. But, I get your point.

He's a college kid, and all college kids make mistakes. I don't condone what he did. Hopefully he is given a solid dose of reality, or bough love, while not overly penalizing his future.

You can't control what a troll posts unless you are a mod. You can control your reaction. It is best practice not to respond to his posts.

First of all, look in the mirror.

2nd, I am not a troll and I don't know why people keep accusing me of this. I've stated my opinion on the matter, which is interpreted as outlandish for some reason. I trust my logic and it's fine if you disagree, but please do it respectfully. That's what intelligent argumentation is all about.

3rd, if I were to be a troll, what you just did in the post quoted above is exactly what I would want to hear. What you just did was counterproductive to your goal, though I do happen to agree with your lesson and I follow it frequently on this board.

Trial of Temple's Wyatt Postponed Again (Philly.com - August 8, 2012)

The trial for Temple basketball star Khalif Wyatt was rescheduled for Tuesday, August 21st at 1:30 p.m. in the Atlantic City municipal court.

The original court date was July 12th before it was adjourned twice. The second trial was scheduled for Monday, August 6th.

Wyatt was charged on June 10 with engaging in prostitution and resisting arrest while in Atlantic City. The senior was one of 28 people charged as part of a two-day prostitution sweep conducted by the city's Special Investigation Unit.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard will be the Owls' top returning player next season. Wyatt, a Norristown High graduate, averaged 17.1 points and had a team-best 69 steals last season. He was a second-team all-Atlantic Ten selection.

Wyatt was held out of the Owls starting lineup three times for disciplinary reasons.

Temple’s Wyatt Tops List of Philahoops’ Preseason Honors (Philahoops - August 15, 2012)

Temple senior guard Khalif Wyatt has been named the Philahoops Preseason Player of the Year, Philahoops editor Aaron Bracy announced today.

Will Seton Hall Revoke Aquille Carr’s Scholarship Offer After His Arrest ? (Jeff Eisenberg, The Dagger - August 19, 2012)

Quote:
It's rare for Seton Hall to attract a player capable of delivering both 20-win seasons and sellout crowds, so the Pirates can't simply cut Carr loose without a second thought.

At the same time, Willard can't afford to undo all the work he's done to improve the reputation of Seton Hall basketball after years of off-the-court trouble under former coach Bobby Gonzalez.

Willard realistically has three choices:
1. He can revoke Carr's scholarship offer now and begin his hunt for another Class 0f 2013 point guard.

2. He can wait a couple months to see if Carr is convicted before taking action, risking that other point guard options will commit elsewhere in the meantime.

3. Or he can remain loyal to Carr and hope that he will mature and avoid future off-court trouble.

Many Seton Hall fans already seem resigned to the idea Carr may never wear a Pirates uniform.

We'll find out soon if Willard feels the same.
At the same time, Fran Dunphy can't afford to undo all the work he's done to improve the reputation of Temple basketball after years of off-the-court trouble under former coach John Chaney.

Re: Wyatt arrested

Xavier's decision to expel Dez Wells could not have come at a worse time for Temple.

Wells was slated to be Xavier's star player this season, and he was kicked out of the university without being arrested, charged, or convicted of anything.

If Khalif Wyatt pleads guilty to, or is convicted of engaging in prostitution and resisting arrest, there will be immense pressure on Temple's administration from many quarters to expel their star player, Khalif Wyatt.

Re: Wyatt arrested

I don't know...We'll never know the details of the Wells situation, or whether his past issues or the school's past issues played a factor. Not fair to hold Temple to the fire because of a situation so little is known about.

Temple will make their decision based on the many factors surrounding their situation, not because of a Dez Wells situation they are speculating about.

The two situations are entirely different though. I'm not sure why one could at all influence the other...not all crimes involving sex are the same.

So the trial was posponed until yesterday but nothing in the Atlantic City Press or Philly.com.
Anyone hear a result?
