Either way, Cantino probably won't ever be a contributor for Xavier.

Next year, he will be behind Philmore, Farr, Reynolds, Stenger, and Stainbrook in the frontcourt.

If he wants to play the three, he will have Justin Martin in front of him, and probably Kamall Richards too.

It unfortunately worked out that Mack had a scholly to give and Cantino basically gives him a scholarship practice player. Better than what you could get from most walk-ons, but not a game contributor.

Strong language coming from Mack regarding the NCAA. "That's the most ludicrous rule... At some point somebody in that organization needs to have common sense."

Lest you forget, Jalen Reynolds and Myles Davis still need to come up with $15,000+ each for their next semester at Xavier. They still have not qualified academically at Xavier and might decide to take their chances elsewhere.

Kamall Richards may have eligibility issues after a season at South Kent (as South Kent alumni Mark Lyons and Chris Thomas did).

If Xavier fails to make the A10 Tournament field in March, or loses 20 games, or loses close to 20 game, NBA-minded PG # 3 Semaj Christon could well decide his professional aspirations would be better served elsewhere. After all, Chris Mack sold Christon on the "Sweet 16" dream at Xavier this season, and that ain't gonna happen.

That all adds up to an unstable Roster, whether you choose to believe it or not.

If Muddie didn't just post the MOST IGNORANT post in the history of his own IGNORANT POSTS I don't what could be more ignorant. IF...IF...IF....IF just pure speculative mumbo jumbo.

As of today, Nov.11th, Reynolds and Davis are IN school. I actually sat a rows behind them at the game Friday. Kamal Richards' eligibility is only in question in Muddie's delusional basement and Semaj is very, very happy with his choice of Xavier.

BTW, I didn't quote it out of respect to those that have him on ignor so he may change or edit it over the next day which is typical of him.

This upcoming X vs Butler match-up should be really interesting. Rarely do you get to see how conference foes stack up so early in the season.

Given that (delusioned) "logic" why on earth would anyone who has any NBA aspirations what-so-ever commit to or stay at Dayton? They've won what... 1 NCAA in 20+ years??? 2 NCAA games in 30 years?

But yea, Muddy Semaj is leaving after this year, Reynolds and Davis will never qualify, Richards will have eligbility issues and on and on. Whatever helps you sleep at night. I'm sure the basement is cold this time of year.

Only in Muddy's world would a program missing the Sweet 16 for only the 2nd time in 6 years call for an immediate transfer of said A-10 program's NBA aspiring 5-star point guard.

Ready for the XU-Butler Game? (Shannon Russell, Cincinnati Enquirer - November 13, 2012)

There have been quite a few, uh, eventful games in the teams’ recent meetings, from the clock malfunction to WaterFountainGate.

I was a little surprised when Indianapolis native Justin Martin said yesterday that he didn’t consider Xavier-Butler a rivalry.

"No, I don’t think it’s a rivalry. I just think it’s another hard-fought game," Martin said.

Fellow Indy native Jeff Robinson agreed. Said the senior: "I don’t think it’s a rivalry either. Like he said, it’s just a game that we look forward to playing. Butler is a great team. They have a great program in Indianapolis. We’re just two talented teams that look forward to playing one another."
