Re: 2012-2013 Xavier Musketeers
Xavier would have to go 2-21 the rest of the season to hit Muddy's forcast for overall record. Hope you enjoyed these early wins, Muskie fans!

Re: 2012-2013 Xavier Musketeers
That was a delusion worth re-reading.
Absolutely classic. Love the "Musketeers are looking at" parts. Basically, when in doubt, make stuff up.

Re: 2012-2013 Xavier Musketeers
You'll never convince him he was wrong - even after X wins their 9th game of the year. Somehow he'll argue that he was right and we misinterpreted his post.
I think X has a rocky road ahead, but geez - nothing like this clown is suggesting. X will continue to be competitive in the A10 this year. Next year, they appear to be quite able to win a lot and hopefully even take the crown - but let's not start talking next year before the season is over - that's what the Dayton fans like to do. |

Re: 2012-2013 Xavier Musketeers
And here Muddie was worried about the National reputation that Xavier was garnering. I haven't seen one bad post anywhere but there is plenty of good press about Xavier coming out. In fact, below is just another peice. Way to go Semaj!

Re: 2012-2013 Xavier Musketeers
Xavier also got some nice pub on Yahoo! Sports as a team that has exceeded expectations this season.
Yahoo! Sports: Five teams that have most exceeded expectations so far this season "Xavier (6-1): No Mark Lyons? No Tu Holloway? No Dez Wells? No problem, so far. The Musketeers are 6-1 with decent wins over Purdue, Butler and Drexel. That's not an NCAA tournament resume yet, but it's a good start for a program expected to suffer through a rebuilding year." |

Re: 2012-2013 Xavier Musketeers
Up until last night, Xavier's starting backcourt had been the strength of the team. But they got smoked at both ends of the floor by Vanderbilt's starting guards at Cintas Center last night: Vanderbilt 66, Xavier 64, OT (ESPN Box Score) Kyle Fuller: 25 points (8-16 FGs), 5 assists, 2 turnovers, and 1 personal foul. Vanderbilt's starting backcourt made 4-13 3-points attempts and 8-13 FT attempts. Xavier's starting backcourt made 2-9 3-points attempts and 0-2 FT attempts. The two missed free throws were by Semaj Christon with 1:35 left to play in the game and Xavier holding a 54-53 lead. With 1:10 left in regulation, James Siakam made a free throw to tie the game at 54 all - the score at the end of regulation.

Re: 2012-2013 Xavier Musketeers
And here I thought that Muddy rooted for all A10 teams during nonconference play.
