If I was to start a poll for Flyer fans, and the poll question was "what brings you the most happiness"...and there were only two choices:

1 - Dayton basketball succeeding
2 - Xavier basketball struggling

...I'm not sure at this point that #2 wouldn't be the winner.

But you are arguing something different now, dont you see that? We were discussing why Kelsey LEFT the XU program. The quality of the job that he eventually accepted after his leave of absence has nothing to do with why he left the program. Are you saying he already knew he was going to take a HC job a year later when he left X? Because, if not, you are talking about something completely irrelevant to the discussion.

Do any other XU fans have any questions about why their long-time assistant left? I seem to remember you all did when it happened, right?

After trying to read through the last several pages, I've come to the conclusion that xavierhoops and The Cobra should just get a room and be done with it.

You were the one that was insisting on continuing to wonder and hypothesize and discuss why Pat Kelsey left Xavier. I just simply kept telling you over and over and over why he actually left.

Yes, there were questions from Xavier fans why Kelsey would leave and not have another job lined up (myself included) particularly since the announcement was so vague.

It wasn't until a few months later, everyone found out the real reason he left when he publicly talked about his mental illness, seeking professonal help, Prosser etc.

For as interested as you are in this, you should have known that.

So it took less than half of the conference season for Xavier to pass Muddy's 4 win prediction. Something tells me he probably won't be commenting about it, however.

And as he continues to worry so much about Xavier, look at the present standing of the University of Dayton Flyers. They're tracking towards their two favorite numbers again: 8-8.

Best of all, the guy he dubbed Splinters annihilated UD last night. I would love to see some video of Dee's assist to Jeff after the timeout, because that was a high pass caught at a very high point. Thunderball.
