I don't follow UC too closely, but I'd have to think he might be on a short leash, with the brawl and other incidents recently. I think Xavier might be less tolerant though. Cincinatti put up with Huggins for a long time. Who knows what their values are. The whole federal thing with Xavier might make Mack's leash shorter, too.

Wow. We sure have a lot of people worrying about the length of Mack's leash. I suspect he will do what he always does, go and coach the kids he has and succeed. Bumps in the road make you stronger.

When I say UD fans (or any other poster) act with jealousy towards Xavier, I don't necessairly mean it as a bad thing and I don't get why you get worked up about it, Spider. If I were any other school in the A-10 (with the exception of Butler) I'd be VERY jealous of Xavier. With Flyer75's definition, it's a "statement of fact."

Oh, by the way, ESPN is reporting Wells' dismissal. Are they also reporting the short leash Mack is on now and how he could be on the hot seat? No, you say. That's right... cause it isn't true and noone is talking about that... oh, other than the omnisicent posters on here.

The only reason anyone ever talks about Xavier is jealousy, though. That's what we're led to believe around here.

You'd think a consistent run of success would make a fanbase secure enough to rationally discuss something negative about their team. Guess not.

Huh? What do you mean by that? Clearly, I'm not scared of talking about "negative" things relating to Xavier. Wasn't I the first one on this board to bring up the federal investigations, settlement with the fed agency regarding sexual allegation handling? I'll give you the answer... I was. When Flyer was continually "wondering aloud" whether Dez was expelled due to the XU/UC fight.
