You do not appear to appreciate the difference between a top college freshman bolting to make $ Millions in the NBA and a not-so-top college freshman leaving Xavier to continue his college basketball career at Appalachian State. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Speaking of 'own goals': 3-Star SF # 21 Jay Canty (Rivals.com Profile) Freshmen Jordan Latham And Jay Canty Decide To Transfer (Xavier University - April 8, 2011) No one transfers from Xavier to Appalachian State because they want to. Jay Canty transferred to Appalachian State after the 2010-11 season ended because Chris Mack told Jay Canty that he would not be getting any meaningful playing time at Xavier behind 4-Star SF # 17 Justin Martin (who had not yet played a game for Xavier) and 4-Star SF # 22 Dezmine Wells (who also had not yet played a game for Xavier). Justin Martin's 2011-12 Stats (Yahoo!) Code:
MPG FG % 3-PT % FT % REB AST TO PPG 11.8 42.0 % 31.7 % 35.7 % 2.5 0.5 0.6 2.9 If Chris Mack had not shown SF Jay Canty the door, he would be a junior at Xavier in 2012-13. Possible Depth Chart (Position: starter, first off the bench at each position.) C: Jeff Robinson, Jalen Reynolds, and James Farr. Having another SF on the Roster might come in handy before the 2012-13 season is over.

As for being on-topic, I'm curious to see how X goes this year. I'm sad to see Lyons and Wells both gone, as I wanted to see them take the team on their backs, like Xavier leaders before them have. But, the other players can now step up, get playing time, and win one for the Muskie. |

Muddy will do what he does, lengthy posts with several links and observations. Most will heavily favor UD and make Xavier look less than stellar. It's his shtick. Get over it like most of us have, because we're adults. The guy can post what he wants. The mods will handle him. It is what it is. Letting it get under your skin only makes you look silly.

Re: 2012-2013 Xavier Musketeers
I think Muddy is making a good, well-thought out point. Martin blows. Are there any objections?

Re: 2012-2013 Xavier Musketeers
Muddy makes some really good points about how sucky Xavier is and has been the last number of years. Mack stinks, too...I read it right here. Now why in f#@k's sake hasn't UD been able to beat this disaster of a team?
Also, reading Muddy posts is like listening to the guy telling you that his c$%k is bigger than yours...but then refusing to whip it out and measure it to just answer the damn question. All the posts "proving" UD is better, but no look at reality and records. Whip it out and measure, Muddy. We'll see in March whose is bigger. Until then, just shut up, Muddy. |

Re: 2012-2013 Xavier Musketeers
I agree. I wasn't trying to say X is gong to be better this year. X might really suck. NOBODY knows. It just gets laborious to deal with article after article of how great a UD recruit is and article after article showing how bad X's 3pt shooting percentage is and how that is going to keep them from winning more than 12 games...blah, blah, blah. I know I wasn't really saying anything new. I come to this board because I like to get info I might not see and to get perspective from other schools. But certain posters' tireless barrage of hate, just takes a lot of the fun out of it.
