Summer league thread
Harper and Nicholson looking real good right now in this first game. Have 15 of ORL 27 points. Kevin Anderson just got in for ORL.
Edit: Dunston is now in also for Brooklyn. Just waiting on former VCU Burgess to get in and it will be a slew of A10 players in there. |

Re: Summer league thread
Harper looks like a flat-out stud and I really love Nicholson's game. I'm sorry I didn't get to see him more in college. He has a tremendous throw-back big man skill set.
Anderson looked over-matched and overwhelmed out there. It just goes to show how good the level of talent is out there and even more how good the NBA is when all these guys are just trying to get a spot in training camp for an outside shot at the last spot on the bench. Burgess hasn't even scratched and he was a pretty good player for VCU. I'm really impressed with Harper though, man has he come a long way from his freshman year at Richmond. Solid, solid player.

Re: Summer league thread
Yup, Anderson was POY in the A10 a couple years back. Stud in college but a number amongst these guys. Nicholson is the real deal. Harper has put on 25 lbs, or so it looks. He barely played as a rookie last year for Orlando.

Nicholson is a beast, and he may be starting for Orlando by the time they're done trading off anyone older than 23.

Re: Summer league thread
Great start for The Professor. He'll have a long, successfull career in the NBA.
Also, Bona fans, Michael Lee is playing with the Sacramento Kings this summer. His tenure at SBU was clouded by the horrors of Solomon's rule, but Lee was a good kid and really solid athlete.

Re: Summer league thread
D. Christmas from Temple has 10 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in the second game. Got a lot of PT too.
Edit: he finished with 10 and 10. On an unrelated A10 note, Sullinger had 20 and 6 in that game for Boston. Last edited by Flyer75; 07-09-2012 at 12:07 PM. |

Re: Summer league thread
Maybe everyone except Jameer (resigned) and JJ Redick. Don't understand the trade to NO for Ryan Anderson. 6'10" mobile forwards don't grow on trees and he was a youngster. The Magic still have a bunch of fwd's to get rid of. Maybe they are going for 'Team A-10" in the NBA.

Re: Summer league thread
Orlando Magic 92, Brooklyn Nets 88
"The Magic defended their home court by beating the team that they might be sending their superstar center to in the coming days. Andrew Nicholson, the No. 19 overall pick out of St. Bonaventure, was the star for Orlando. He finished with 24 points and 12 rebounds, with a huge and-one in the paint to gain a three-point lead with time expiring." |

10, 10 and 4 for Dionte and lead the Celts in minutes. He will be signed by someone, whether it's the Celts or someone else in the NBA.

Re: Summer league thread
Eh, they play 5 games in 5 days. He's still got time. Not that his chances were that great before the summer league.
Big Dog Searcy started for Philly. Had 3 points and 4 boards in like 26 minutes. Classic Big Dog.
