District, I'm not saying I agree with it, just saying you can't have one standard for Coach A (in this case, Mack) and one standard for Coach B (Smart).

I think Smart is a great coach, and he seems to be an even better recuiter.

Another point is UD fans seem to forget Mack was Assoc Head Coach for the 5 years leading up to his promotion to HC. It's not like he had nothing to do with building the talent and program over a long time period.

I wasn't disagreeing with you, I'm supporting your point. I think Mack is pretty solid and I know that Shaka is.

Sure Mack may not have recruited those guys as head coach, but as Associate Head Coach he may have had as much or more to do with recruiting those guys than Miller did, and he's been coaching those guys for 3 years now. They are more Mack's guys than they ever were Miller's really when you think about it.

I'm just saying that its about time that Xavier is making their players be responsible for their actions. Where were the apologies from the Xavier players for the UC brawl? It seemed as if they enjoyed at and they wouldn't mind doing it again. I don't think that is the type of culture that Xavier wants. This incident just adds to it. You want representatives of you school to have higher charterer than that. Its about more than just money and wins and loses. They men are supposed to represent what Xavier is about and I don't think that Chris Mack is doing enough right now to get those players to realize how important that is.

You didn't see the outrage in 1998? It was epic. I sat around this board and fumed for what felt like days, mostly because I had to keep signing off AOL so my older sister could call her friends and talk about 'NSync. I was so mad I didn't even let my dog eat Iams. He died of starvation. Had to be done (he's the 4th dog you see in the Sarah McLachlan commercial). Clay Mathile is evil for loaning a guy money, and then turning himself in when he realized it may have been a violation. We had an Occupy Poe Ave protest for several weeks. And don't get me started on when I found out UD self-reported the violation to the NCAA. Those motherf*ckers.

I punch every 8th grader I see, because just thinking about someone born in 1998 sends me into a violent rage.

Public apologies were given by both Tu and Mark, and multiple public apologies by Mack, Bobinski and Graham.

That is just who this Xavier team was. It was all of the players, not just a couple. I remember in the A10 championship Lyons scored to cut the lead and put Xavier back in the game but after the basket he taunts Charlon Kloof and shoves him. Gets a T. Kloof hits both free throws and then its game over. Holloway and Frease have both taunts fans and students when I have seen them play the Bonnies. I have never seen any other teams in the A10 play that way. Good for them that they got rid of all these thugs, now maybe they can start over new. I understand that those guys won a lot but do you really want to win with guys who play like that and acted like such fools off the court?

Jacks, that's exactly what Hoops was talking about. Sure Tu and Lyons played hard, and probably trashed talked a lot. But both graduated and worked hard for Xavier.

In the championship game there is no note of any technical being awarded. When Lyons scored there was just over a minute left, and we were down 8. So of course you foul right away trying to get back in the game. But why make up a technical foul that apparently doesn't exist in the records? That's just petty.

The Bonnies won because Nicholson went off like a rocket. Afterwards Coach Mack complimented him on the great game and said he should be a first round NBA pick...which he was.

What's the point in trying to make stuff up and score points?
It's like worrying about another team's web site supposedly showing a national ranking wrong, when in fact your web site has the very same problem.

We should discuss from facts.

My memory might be wrong. I thought that it was a technical, maybe just a regular foul but he just two hand shoves Kloof after talking in his ear after the basket. The foul is called on him before the ball even got in. He fouled out on the play too btw.

Yes. Sure, Xavier has a few unfortunate incidents, but wins at a consistently at a national level. It beats the alternative of most other A-10 schools having a few unfortunate incidents, but being mediocre mid-major programs.

Xavier's just get amplified a little more because, as stated earlier, they are a national program and many A-10fans have a unique interest in X as the flagship of their conference.

There may have been but I looked throughout the internet for them and I couldn't find any. If there indeed were apologies then yes I apologize for being wrong. I was more so just comparing the attitudes of the two schools after the incident. Xavier players seemed like the enjoyed the fight and proved themself through it, even Mack didn't seem as embarrassed as the UC coach. UC players apologized for what happened and seemed to learn from it. With the recent events at Xavier it seems like they didn't learn from what happened.
