Question from a newby

What is the A-10 standard formula for distributing post season BB tournament tickets to the member schools?

Re: Question from a newby

That's a good question. I don't think any of us have really ever paid attention because except when the games were at UD Arena, there have been plenty of tickets available.

Re: Question from a newby

I looked around a bit to see if it was listed anywhere, but couldn't find anything.

However, in the amusing section of life, this is what StubHub has listed:

Quote:
Only one university in the Atlantic 10 Conference will get the automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament this season. Will it be the Xavier Musketeers, Temple Owls, Fordham Rams or another one of the A-10 heavyweights? With Atlantic 10 Tournament tickets, you'll be able to see the action for yourself as the battle of the conference plays out on the field!

Obviously marketing to those closest to Brooklyn...but funny for us to see that written.

I fail to see why that is funny.

its not only about availability but who sits center court as opposed to behind the basket and etc. I assume the A-10 gives each school an allotment of tickets.

Re: Question from a newby

Don't think they had school allotments in AC for fans of schools. When we won it in AC 2 years ago, we asked UR if there was a school allotment and they just told us a section to buy them in so a group of UR fans would be together.

Based on what I saw in AC this year I think they try to put the St. Bonaventure fans as close to the beer as possible.

Try calling the athletic department at your local a10 school.

In AC, the first session buy the cheapest seats and do a self motivated seat up grade.

No different than the Spectrum, USBarn Arena or early rounds at UD Arena.

I'd be surprised if it were any different at Barclays. It's best to go through your own school's ticket office if you want to sit with your own fanbase, but there will be plenty of tickets to be had from an overall standpoint.
