Majerus Stepping Down
More good news for the A10.
From Ben Weixlmann on twitter: #SLU men's basketball coach Rick Majerus has stepped down, Bob Ramsey of 101 ESPN has announced. Sounds like heart issues again.

Re: Majerus Stepping Down
SLU was finally showing the results he was brought in to deliver, so I hate it for their fans, I hate it for the A-10, and finally Thick Rick has nothing else in his life so I hate it for him.

Re: Majerus Stepping Down
A couple of more stories like this and the UMass and Muskie situations and Fordham will be declared pre-season pick for the A-10 Championship (much to Muddy's chagrin).

I just want the team I support to be in a stronger conference. I'd prefer it to be a stronger A-10! To me that would mean every member would have at least 2 trips to the NCAA Tourney and 5 winning seasons during each 10-year cycle. It would also be great for every program to seriously challenge for a league title (either regular season or Tourney) at least once during that same period of time. |
