Unfortunately that's not the case at Xavier. All but the endzone in the upper deck plus seats in the upper deck corners near the student end of the arena require a "gift" (I've never gotten my head around the concept of a mandatory gift), and the more expensive seats mean a bigger gift. My seats in Row I on the corner opposite the student end in the lower bowl run me about $900 each when the gift is included. And there are two levels of giving higher than mine.

Season tickets comprise about 7000 of the 10,250 capacity, and student get another 1000 (free) seats. There are also a number of free seats (probably about 250 or so) held out for faculty and staff, and the remaining 2000 seats get sold in mini-packs or individual game seating (or are alotted to the visiting team).

Re: VCU Sells out all season tickets

Currently the Stu has 2000 student seats for most games, somewhere between 4k-5k season tickets and the rest will be sold in mini-packs or singla game tickets.

You have to give a gift to improve your seating area, and those gifts will increase even more next year. Unfortunately for those who will be left behind its the price of success.

Re: VCU Sells out all season tickets

Welcome to the A10 and congrats on the ticket sales. I was under the impression that only the Ohio teams had seat licenses and just about everyone else is more like VCU. Giving more does translate into better seat locations.
