VCU has sold-out all available season tickets and now will turn to a waiting list for tickets. Looks like we can push our consecutive sellout streak out to 36. Should be a fun year at the Stu.

I think VCU you will be doing some small scale expansions in the off season to get that number above 8000. We want to keep the demand but also don't want to leave too many fans out in the streets.

If you broadcast locally, the bars in the Fan are great places to watch the game.

What does a season ticket cost at VCU? Is there a seat licence required?

hawk, it averages out to about 350ish or about 18-20 a game. Obviously you give more and your ticket price goes down a little. For single game purchase most tickets were 20 with a few games at 25. Still a great bargain.

How can you reconfigure your arena for that many more? I know you added the club seating area on one sideline last year which added a small bit more to capacity. What else can be done? The building doesn't look like it has many expansion possibiliies. Given a large portion of the seating is bleachers, I would say you are probably getting the absolute max out of it.

The most talked about idea is to close in the cavernous openings in the corners like FAMU has done. This would make the arena into a more cohesive space.. This would add a few hundred additional seats. There has also been talk about large scale expansion to push towards 10k but that would be a major project requiring the replacement of 3 sides of the arenas seating to create a steeper angle.

the more likely project is the corners being filled in ala FAMU and the building of our practice center.

I'd prefer it to be a stronger A-10! To me that would mean every member would have at least 2 trips to the NCAA Tourney and 5 winning seasons during each 10-year cycle. It would also be great for every program to seriously challenge for a league title (either regular season or Tourney) at least once during that same period of time.
