Sure, but timing isn't on his side. Dez Wells' process was completed early enough to transfer right away. Kavanaugh's process didn't wrap up until October, way past the time he could enroll anywhere for the fall semester. His options are to enroll somewhere in January or wait for summer. If he enrolls somewhere in January, he almost certainly will still redshirt instead of asking for immediate eligibility for half a season.
Kav won't play until next fall. My guess is he will wait to see if UD will let him back in. I don't think they will, so he will go elsewhere and play next year. To be honest, if he's not back at Dayton, I wouldn't be shocked to see Kav at Wright State next year.
