That title belongs to Wyatt. See his game vs. Duke last year for a small sample.

A big reason - though not the only one - why most everyone outside of Western PA expects the Dukes to finish at the bottom of the conference.

What is the argument that they'll be better than anyone outside of URI?

Cant wait til people see how good Will Cummings is after barely playing last year. His speed is a major addition for Temple.

Re: BEST A-10 POINT GUARDS

Getting to see Dillard every game last year, the guy is simply incredible. I don't think people realize just how little talent was around him last year. It was him, Chris Johnson, 10 games of Benson, and a bunch of role players (calling some of them role players is, frankly, too kind). And Dillard still nearly took them to the dance. I always respect intelligent rankings, none more intelligent than the Godfather himself. I don't think there is a wrong answer out of those top 3. But there isn't another PG I would take over Dillard. There's not another player I would take over Dillard. That's my quarterback (sniffs).

He's got more talent around him this year. Could be scary. And fun. That's all I'll say about that.

I think Duren has the best all-round game of any PG in the league. He runs the offense efficiently, shoots well and makes tough shots, and is a very good defender. Some might prefer the flash of Williams or the steady hand of Dilliard, but I'd take Duren by a hair.

2)Chaz Williams, Massachusetts.

Most dynamic player in the league and a surprisingly good shooter. Yet the do-it-all Williams can get slowed by big, athletic guards who defend well and he is sometimes quite reckless with the ball.

3)Kevin Dilliard, Dayton.

Dilliard is an excellent distributor and creator who handles the ball like a yo-yo on a string. He runs an offense as well as any guard in the A-10 and can get his own shots, too.

4)Kwamain Mitchell, St. Louis.

Mitchell is not a classic point guard, but he takes care of the ball, makes smart passes and can create his own shot. He’s one of the most clutch shooters in the league, too.

5)Darius Theus, VCU

Theus is not a great shooter or fanciful passer, but like the other premier guards in the A-10, he comes through in the clutch. He also takes care of the ball and is arguably the finest perimeter defender in the league – though Jordair Jett will have something to say about that.

Nice - you can easilly interchange any of the top 3 IMO. They all have one differentiator from the other two which can be the difference on any given night depending on the opponent. As much as I don't care for anything LaSalle, Duren is a good f-ing player and I wish Umass had him. Duren is a great player too. As much good as Williams did last year, he had too many of those "Gary Forbes" moments last year - He was driving/shooting and that was it - head down and GO!

Hold on a minute. What has La Salle ever done to you? Sure, we spawned Explorer Steve, but you guys have a few fruit loops too. Sheesh.

You're such a homer. It's time somebody has called you out on it. And you too, DukesDan.

Re: BEST A-10 POINT GUARDS

Yeah that whole Watkins commitment thread exchange was pretty revealing. I don't disagree with you, I just thought it was ironic that you were the one doing it.

I think we're all homers to varying degrees if we're honest with ourselves.

Exactly. How is it surprising that a guy named DukesDan reps for Duquesne? Especially when they aren't getting any sort of love from the rest of the board.
