A little off topic but sitting here watching this Celtics exhibition game and I see Sato is out there....what a player. One of the few X players I can say I never hated and enjoyed watching play.

Re: OT: NBA Training Camp Rosters
Brob impressed today. First exhibition game vs. Orlando. Played the most minutes of anybody on the team and led with 17 points on 3-4 3 point shooting. +8 on the game. 4 assists, 0 turnovers, 2 steals and 4 rebounds. I don't see how he doesn't make the team.

Re: OT: NBA Training Camp Rosters
BRob looked like a seasoned veteran out there. It's only one game, but he already looks way better than Vasquez, who has no right to even be in the NBA.
Nicholson looked slow, he really needs to get in better shape. Justin Harper hardly got minutes. Harper has a contract for this year, so he's unlikely to be cut but still needs to show better. Last edited by lofugee; 10-07-2012 at 06:31 PM. |

Dionte Xmas with 9 points in 9 minutes, all on 1on1 moves. Seemed like he was going to take his shots when he got the ball and he wasn't going to pass it. He wants this NBA gig bad, better to control it in his own hands I guess.

Re: OT: NBA Training Camp Rosters
Brian Roberts isn't very physical, and that hurts him in the NBA, especially on defense. But man can he ever shoot. You can't leave him alone on the 3pt line and he is really good shooting off of screens. He's also a dead eye free throw shooter. I love seeing him play in the NBA.

Re: OT: NBA Training Camp Rosters
JR Bremer played in the NBA and I dont think Brian Roberts' stroke or ball-handling leave anything on the table to JR. Roberts is certainly more athletic -- he just never showed it at UD. Most of you A10 fans would find it hard to believe, but one of the best kept secrets was Roberts was an insane dunker. Some of his midnight madness throw-downs were downright filthy. He was an unofficial member of the Flight Club (40 inch vertical) with Little, Johnson, and Wright, but since Charles was President, Charles made the rules. And part of being in the club was you had to dunk on someone in an actual game.

From Doug Harris at 4:01 PM this afternoon: Former Flyer Chris Johnson was waived by the Los Angeles Clippers but was immediately signed by the Orlando Magic, his hometown team. He’s one of 20 players trying to make the 15-player roster.

Re: OT: NBA Training Camp Rosters
Another very big game for Roberts last night. He got to start and played 28 min.
7-9 from the field, 2-3 3 pointers, 16 points, 8 assists, 4 turnovers. The amazing stat is his +21. The next best Hornet was +6. I'm not quite sure how that happens but it did and they still won. Hornets network MVP of the game. The hunch around the Hornets message boards is that Roberts very well might see significant playing time, especially early on as Rivers is not up to the IQ that Roberts is showing right now and Gordon is still being phased in slow with his knee injury. http://www.nba.com/games/20121011/NO...#nbaGIboxscore In 3 preseason games he's avg. 13 ppg, 5.3 apg, 1 tpg, and 2.3 rpg. I don't have a clue what an NBA EFF number is but his is over 15 (not sure what that means, good or bad). 100% FT, and over 55% from both the field and 3. Searcy is still on the 76ers roster and they only have 1 cut left to make to get to their 15. Not looking as good for Wright and CJ. Last edited by Flyer75; 10-12-2012 at 05:24 AM. |

Re: OT: NBA Training Camp Rosters
Michael Eric is looking like he has a great chance to make the Cavs, which definitely surprises me.
No news on Tu, which means he is pretty much destined for the d-league this year. |
