Very hard to pick a preseason all freshman team. You never know how someone will perform or what kind of min they will get. I'm pretty sure Semaj will make this team. I also have a feeling that one of Daytons freshmen will too.

I thought that the performances of Dyshawn Pierre and Jalen Robinson in their first four games deserved recognition. . . . and Dyshawn Pierre's performance was recognized by the Atlantic 10 this afternoon: Quote:

So far, both Dyshawn Pierre and Jalen Robinson are having a much better season than Jordan Hare or Daniel Dingle.

And as someone else said, you can't really determine if people are right or wrong based off of three games (or four in Dayton's case). Now in a month or two if they are still averaging that amount of points you would have a valid argument. Your post above is very similar to me saying that Temple has a sub 30 RPI. It means less than nothing at this point in the game. Congrats to them on their averages after four games. Three of which were against teams that have a 0.0% chance of making any kind of post season tournament this year, but it is a good start nonetheless. |

Oh, and by the way, Butler was the second most quality opponent on Xavier's OOC schedule this year (behind Memphis). Shows how much you know about basketball.

Re: A-10 Media Day today at Barclays Center in Brooklyn
Not to be a dick, but also outside of Dayton who dropped 4 spots (and would have been 5 had Bona beat Fordham). Picked to be a middle-of-the-pack A-10 team, but finished a low-tier A-10 team.

Re: A-10 Media Day today at Barclays Center in Brooklyn
But it wasn't 5 spots. I don't see the point in mentioning that. That's like saying it would have been no spots if Dayton had scored 2 more points against GW.

Re: A-10 Media Day today at Barclays Center in Brooklyn
The point in mentioning that is that Dayton was going to fall 4 or 5 spots... the difference was out of their control. Their destiny was not in their own hands.
If they scored 2 more points, that is in their control.
