I'll take another look a Xavier's stats and Semaj Christon's stats after Xavier has played some of the 'quality' teams on their non-conference schedule, particularly away games and neutral court games.
And Dayton's stats were racked up against Arkansas State (picked to finish 2nd in the West Division of the Sunbelt Conference), Boston College (picked to finish 11th - LAST - in the ACC), and Auburn (picked to finish 12th in the SEC).

Congrats on a 5th place finish down in Charleston.

Why are there arguments about any stats 3 or 4 games into the season?

Because a poster felt that two of the freshman on his favorite team were being slighted.

Very hard to pick a preseason all freshman team. You never know how someone will perform or what kind of min they will get. I'm pretty sure Semaj will make this team. I also have a feeling that one of Daytons freshmen will too.

Close, but no cigar xu95.

I thought that the performances of Dyshawn Pierre and Jalen Robinson in their first four games deserved recognition.

. . . and Dyshawn Pierre's performance was recognized by the Atlantic 10 this afternoon:

Dyshawn Pierre:

The Whitby, Ontario, native is just the sixth NCAA basketball player (and the first freshman, and the first Canadian) since 1996-97 to make at least eight field goals, five 3-pointers and two free throws without missing a single shot.

This was also the first career start for the freshman forward.

Pierre’s 5-for-5 game from beyond the arc was also the second-best in UD history.

After 4 games, 6 Flyers are averaging 9 PPG or better, and two of them are freshmen.
Dyshawn Pierre: 9.8 PPG

Jalen Robinson: 9.3 PPG

So far, both Dyshawn Pierre and Jalen Robinson are having a much better season than Jordan Hare or Daniel Dingle.

Pierre had 1 good game out of 4. Kudos to him but at least wait until December before you start the constant attcks on other FRESHMEN.

So you don't think they were slighted? I'm not saying they were or weren't, but obviously since you replied to a post showing the All Rookie nominees and then went on to show their stats you think they got slighted. I take the pre-season rankings with a grain of salt, especially the rookie ones because the only thing the voters have to go on is high school stats and needs of the teams they are playing for. None of them have ever seen them play a single game.

And as someone else said, you can't really determine if people are right or wrong based off of three games (or four in Dayton's case). Now in a month or two if they are still averaging that amount of points you would have a valid argument. Your post above is very similar to me saying that Temple has a sub 30 RPI. It means less than nothing at this point in the game.

Congrats to them on their averages after four games. Three of which were against teams that have a 0.0% chance of making any kind of post season tournament this year, but it is a good start nonetheless.

I'll take another look a Xavier's stats and Semaj Christon's stats after Xavier has played some of the 'quality' teams on their non-conference schedule, particularly away games and neutral court games.
Semaj Christon: 15.4 points per game, 4.7 assists per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, 1.4 steals per game.

Oh, and by the way, Butler was the second most quality opponent on Xavier's OOC schedule this year (behind Memphis). Shows how much you know about basketball.

Only in the A-10 can you play a conference opponent out of conference.

Not to be a dick, but also outside of Dayton who dropped 4 spots (and would have been 5 had Bona beat Fordham). Picked to be a middle-of-the-pack A-10 team, but finished a low-tier A-10 team.

But it wasn't 5 spots. I don't see the point in mentioning that. That's like saying it would have been no spots if Dayton had scored 2 more points against GW.

Re: A-10 Media Day today at Barclays Center in Brooklyn

The point in mentioning that is that Dayton was going to fall 4 or 5 spots... the difference was out of their control. Their destiny was not in their own hands.

If they scored 2 more points, that is in their control.
