Re: 2012-2013 Blue Ribbon A-10 Predicted Order of Finish
Aw, feeling a little butthurt because a team considered your level was put too high? This is why you are a huge homer.
Rhode Island at 13 is about right. They have obtained a good group of talented youth and I believe Danny Hurley can the best of out of them. If you think they're equal or even close to your Dukies then you truly are delusional. The players on their team are far more talented, and Hurley is the far better coach. From the way your posts have sounded lately, it sounds like you'd be content (if not overjoyed) with a 15th place finish in the A-10. If this is true, it must be a sad state of affairs in Dukie Land...

Re: 2012-2013 Blue Ribbon A-10 Predicted Order of Finish
Blue Ribbon is by far the most comprehensive, well-written, and researched preseason college basketball magazine out there. I highly recommend everyone get one. Very in-depth analysis of each conference and team. It'll sate your basketball appetite until the games start.

Re: 2012-2013 Blue Ribbon A-10 Predicted Order of Finish
z8, why are you so concerned with Dukes Dan being a homer? You had a hissy fit because WH was NOT a homer in his preseason team and individual rankings. Your team is supposed to finish in or near the top quadrant of the conference. Dukes Dan's team, unfortunately for him, is not. UMass has been in DU's position pretty recently, so you should know how it feels. Is he not allowed to like his team? And why do you care?

Re: 2012-2013 Blue Ribbon A-10 Predicted Order of Finish
URI has been pretty consistently ranked 15th by all other outlets. They are arguably worse than Duquesne. Lets be honest, the Hurley name is the only reason they are a consensus pick ahead of the Dukes. This doesn't even make sense based on history. I'll repeat the same fact: Ferry beat Hurley 4 out of 4 times they have played each other.

I'm concerned with DukesDan being a homer for multiple reasons. I am a homer, but at least my team backs it up. I only display this homerism once or twice every few days on this board, which is fine. DukesDan, however, is constantly touting every single random Duquesne player and pumping sunshine in his Duquesne recruiting threads 5 times a day. This gets a little tiring. This isn't Xavier, or even Dayton, this is Duquesne. I could care less about the 1 star recruit they got, competing with the likes of Binghamton, Evansville, Mercer, and Charleston Southern. This is irrelevant. I don't care, and I'm not sure anyone else does either. I never said that he's not allowed to like his team. He absolutely has that right. He can like his team all he wants, but he doesn't need to make 10 posts a day touting how great Duquesne is. He doesn't need to whine in threads like this. Whether Duquesne or URI finishes 15th doesn't matter, because fact is, they're finishing 15th. If my team were in the position that DukesDan team is, I would shut my mouth and eat all that humble pie. I did it for years and I do know how it feels. But now my team is on top and I can let people know it, so I do.
