Re: The University of Richmond Spiders
IBSII, it's been the bigest complaint about Mooney, not willing to make adequate adjustments. Tonight losing Williams forced him to act. Air Force coming in next week, should be interesting to see how he prepares the team

Re: The University of Richmond Spiders
it's frustrating because despiite the inexperience in the frontcourt, the performance of the team is not indicative of the talent level on this team. They need to be trusted and given a chance to make plays. The passive switching defense clearly depletes our energy level and it spills over to every facet of the game. I'm a big Mooney supporter because he is recruiting at a very high level, but I'm not sold on his defensive system. It worked when we had KA, Harp and Smitty because they were exceptional individual talents. it has been exposed the sat two years.

Richmond got a little help at the end from the zebras (might not have changed the outcome but would have made the end even tighter

Re: The University of Richmond Spiders
Although he only played 2 seasons after transferring in, I am surprised that Greg Stevenson was not named to the alltime UR team.
His stats for those 2 years are very impressive: Career Games Minutes PPG FG% 3FG% FT% APG RPG SPG BPG 59 35.3 19.1 54.3 45.6 75.7 1.6 7.4 0.8 1.3 1127 points in 2 seasons is something, and he led the Spiders to a first place CAA finish in the year when the CAA made the Spiders ineligible for the CAA tournament and likely screwed them out of an NCAA appearance. 2 time first team all CAA.
