Put simply, the future is bright for URI with the recruits coming in, but they are terrible on paper this year. Their roster and Duquesnes are by far the weakest in the league. I've seen people picking them over Charlotte, Xavier!, GWU even the Bonnies have far more depth and proven talent. This is not meant to flame URI fans because again, I thought Hurley was a great hire and will produce fairly quickly. He's not a miracle worker though. THe cupboard is basically completely bare there with HOlton leaving and Baron transferring. They will probably not win more then 2 conference games this year.

how is being picked 15th in 90% of prediction and 13th in 1 prediction overrated? I don't follow your logic, all people are saying is don't sleep on them, they will show up every game. No one is call them a champ or even saying they will get to the Barclay's Center.

He picks URI as a "darkhorse". They would certainly be a surprise to finish top-half in the league. Just one guy's opinion though. I could've sworn I saw them at 12 or 11 in one other predictions list, but maybe that was a fan posting.

UMass has a lot of Hope but little has Changed. You hoped to beat the Explorers twice last year but you lost both games. UMass has hoped to be a top 4 team in the league for years but it just isn't going to happen unless there is real change in Amherst.

In their entire history in the A10, the only success that La Salle fans can point to is regularly beating UMass over the past few years.
