Re: College Basketball AP Poll Discussion
It was nice watching the game on Saturday and the announcers saying that Butler's only two losses this year was to Xavier and Illinois.

Re: College Basketball AP Poll Discussion
ESPN's Jason King is lobbying for VCU to be included in the AP top 25:

Re: College Basketball AP Poll Discussion
VCU is ranked #24 in the ESPN/Coaches Poll this week. 8 votes out of the AP Top 25. #24 and #25 play each other this week, so if VCU wins at home against Dayton and on the road at St. Bonaventure, they have a good chance to be ranked in both polls next week.

Re: College Basketball AP Poll Discussion
Not disagreeing, I've felt that way for awhile. It's just nice to see it acknowledged by the media and coaches. It's good for recruiting, program prestige/reputation and so on and so forth.
That's actually the first time VCU has been ranked in the Coaches poll during the regular season. The last time we were ranked in the AP poll was 1985. I'm hoping we can break that drought soon.

Re: College Basketball AP Poll Discussion
I was interested to see this because its hard to remember, but I just went back and looked at where Butler peaked in the ratings in recent years.
