It's bad to look ahead, but what do you think the line would be for UMass/NC State on a neutral floor? It might depend on the first-round results, but I was going to say 13.

I'd probably cut it in half, Lari. I don't think Vegas views N.C. State as strong as they are ranked in the polls. Certainly some soft lines out there early in the season so you never know. It's crazy how many games will start at one line and close 3-4 points different. You won't see that in another month and a half.

Top 5 team against an unranked squad that eked past Harvard at home? No way it's six or seven points. Everybody would jump all over the Pack in that spot. I could see 10-12 but can't see it being single digits unless we bury Providence, which I don't see happening. I read somewhere on UMassHoops that that line's 5.5.

Gotta focus though. Just beat Providence. Just beat Providence. Would be so much better for the SOS to get Providence/NC State/Tennessee or OSU than Providence/Penn State/UNC Asheville.

WSU has a great coach read that WH is a big fan called him the best non BCS coach in America in another discussion I wouldn't disagree with him.
I'll be surprised if you pass today EC great card in my opinion.

Marshall should of been #1 on everyones list last year. I am sure he will go to a Big 10, or Big 12 school in the future maybe even follow fellow Shocker coach Turgeon to the ACC. His kids play hard and they play well together.Looks like he knew something that most others didnt about this team. You have to experience the atmosphere watching/playing in Wichita to really appreciate it. The roundhouse fits 10,000 all great seats, they pack it, all different age groups,and they all are nuts from the time they enter to the time they leave. Who wouldnt want to play in that type of atmosphere. Marshall owns the city.

After all these years I have decided to take the first week of picking as a NBA pre-season type of affair. Getting into things slowly like a veteran. I will watch but won't pick. Will begin to pick on the weekend if I see anything. Could be 4-0 at this time because I liked Bonaventure last night. I watched the game against Cornell - Simply put, I will be picking against the Bonnies when they are on the road in A10 matchups and for them when they are at home. Its going to be that type of year for them. They are going to be tough to beat at home against most if not all teams in the A10. Cornell is young but talented.

Every year is different in this contest. I am just hoping to win 55+ games and lose in the area of 30+.

NC State is -12 tonight against Penn St. UMass is certainly viewed as better than them. I may have been low, but I still struggle to see it being in double digits.

I thought the same thing. The UMass/Providence line has also come down a couple points so I wonder if the Harvard game is in people's minds, or if people see 2-0 Providence coming off a huge win and don't realize that Council's out.

I'll change my guess to 9 or 9.5. Hope we get to find out.

PC hasn't played anyone they play NJIT and won by 1 and the played Bryant (a low level NEC team). Cotton has been running the point but is not really and point and more of a 2 guard. My concern would be PC using their size and pounding it inside

UMASS should win the game though

Congrats to everyone who chose Murray State over Auburn (congratulating myself! Classy!). How were they only favored by 3 over Auburn? It currently sits at 55-22. I don't think Auburn is going to get back in this one.

I was just flummoxed to see that one. It was definitely a good way to get back on the horse after my humiliating defeat yesterday at the hands of Northern Kentucky.
