Re: 11/13 A-10 Games (Huge day!)
Anthony Lee with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals. The time he put in in the weight room is very clear.

TJ played very well. I still believe in Will. Just going to take him longer to get acclimated.

Re: 11/13 A-10 Games (Huge day!)
I don't know what to make of the UMass game. They really looked out of synch on offense, but Harvard is a team that last year held opponents to 59 pts a game, 3rd best in the country (I think). So maybe they make most teams look out of synch on offense. I will say that we all saw the Cady Lalanne we were hoping for. They guy is a beast, and he has only played about 2 months of competitive ball in the last 2 years. I imagine he's gonna improve quite a bit. Doesn't look like the rest of the team is gonna be much different from last year. We really really missed Javorn Farrell and his 21.5 minutes a game today. I think if we had him on the floor with his energy and aggressiveness, instead of Putney, we would have done much better. He was at the game in warm-ups and NOT LIMPING! This is good!
edit: I know Putney had a good stat line, but he just plays so much on the perimeter for a 6'9" guy. Last edited by uz2b-len; 11-13-2012 at 12:25 PM. |

But yeah, Lalanne was the best highlight of this game for me (even over the Carter 3-pointer that has a chance to end up on Top Plays). Can't wait until he's got some more time under his belt. |

Re: 11/13 A-10 Games (Huge day!)
They played against a lot of zone and UMass gutted out a win. This is the first game of the season and we are undefeated. Harvard's guard and big man 24 looked very good for freshmen. Hope they start correctly some issues and beat PC and make NC State sweat.
Harvard did not score in the last 2 minutes because of our defense. Wish I taped the game to here the ESPN crews game long comments. e-parade Thanks for posting the end of game video.

Re: 11/13 A-10 Games (Huge day!)
Let's not treat Harvard like it was this pushover opponent - this is a GOOD WIN, fellas. NCAA Tournament team, RPI of 41 last year (to our 62), Ivy League favorites for this year. I am not especially concerned about our halfcourt offense and certainly not concerned when the tempo's in our favor - it's very early and sometimes it takes time. We gutted out a win. Individually, Cady Lalanne was indeed the highlight. It was a damn good day.
