Re: Stat Stuff
I got my original stuff from ESPN.
Decided to check the StatSheet site to see about the Hawks. This will be fun this year. That site thinks the XU/Butler game was a conference game and it's already started totalling things up that way. http://statsheet.com/mcb/conferences/a-10

Re: Stat Stuff
Oh does kenpom love our margins of victory! We are up to #30 with him.
Looking at points per possession on statsheet: Xavier is #6 nationally with 1.43 points per possession! Richmond is #12 nationally with 1.35 points per possession. Saint Louis is #23 nationally with 1.27 points per possession. Of course stats like these are kinda meaningless IMHO until there are about 10-15 games played. |

Re: Stat Stuff
At the least, Scootie did it against a good team, not a D-II team like so many other schools have played.

I didn't claim it was all that meaningful. In fact, I characterized it as "kinda meaningless." That old saw about messageboard posters lacking reading comprehension comes to mind. Did you just see SLU behind Richmond, scream "RAHRRRR!," and click reply? Anytime someone who is not a moron is talking about basketball season stats in November, one should assume that it is not serious but just for fun. |
