Thanks, makes sense he would be interested because hes a basketball fan and Havoc is a weird tactic, and so far successful.
BTW, what makes Havoc different from a full-court press and double teams?

RAMS EARN FIFTH SEED IN SOUTH REGION

TAKE ON AKRON IN AUBURN HILLS ON THURSDAY

RICHMOND, Va. - For the third straight season, the VCU men's basketball team is going dancing.

The Rams will take on long time non-conference foe, Akron, the Mid-American Conference Champions, on Thursday at the Palace of Auburn Hills. VCU will be the fifth seed in the South Region. It's the second highest seed in school history, next to the #2 seed that the 1984-85 squad received.

"It's certainly tough because of my history with Coach Dambrot and Akron, but I'm really proud of our guys earning a five seed," Head Coach Shaka Smart said. "That's a big accomplishment and it says a lot about how hard this group of guys work on a daily basis."

Smart spent three seasons (2003-06) as an assistant coach at Akron and remains close friends with the Zips' Head Coach Keith Dambrot. This will be the fifth meeting in the past six years between the two programs including a thrilling 76-75 overtime victory for VCU last season in Akron. All-time, the Rams are 6-0 against the Zips.

It's the third time in school history that the Black & Gold have been a five seed, joining the 1980-1981 and 1982-83 squads. Both teams won their first round matchups. This is also the first time since in 28 years that the Rams have earned three straight trips to the NCAA Tournament.

In all, VCU played a total of 11 teams that earned trips to this year's NCAA Tournament.

The winner of VCU's matchup with Akron, will take on the winner of fourth-seeded Michigan and 13th-seeded South Dakota State. That Round of 32 game will be on Saturday.

Not long after the “second round” pairings of this year’s NCAA tournament were announced, Akron center Zeke Marshall guaranteed a Zips win to the local Ohio media.

A few days later and after a 46-point beatdown…Zeke’s got some explaining to do.

The Rams blitzed Akron throughout the night, turning a 25-point halftime lead into a 88-42 win in tonight’s 12 v 5 matchup, marking VCU’s third-straight season with at least one NCAA tournament win in the largest blowout of a 12 v 5 matchup in tournament history

For the third consecutive season VCU has advanced to the third round of the NCAA tournament. The Rams did so by taking advantage of a perfect second round matchup against an Akron team that had recently suspended their senior point guard after a drug arrest, manhandling the Zips 88-42 last night.

VCU INKS GUARD DOUG BROOKS

Shooting guard Doug Brooks (Lake Wales, Fla.) signed a National Letter of Intent with VCU Wednesday and will join the Rams this fall.

A consensus three-star recruit, the 6-foot-3, 175-pound Brooks fits Coach Smart's prototype of a speedy, defensive-minded guard for VCU's "Havoc" style.

Brooks who starred at Lake Wales High School and for Each 1 Teach 1 on the AAU circuit, is also an accomplished long-range shooter. He chose VCU after drawing interest from South Carolina, South Florida, Illinois State, Central Florida, Arkansas and others.

WILL WADE NAMED HEAD COACH AT UT-CHATTANOOGA

RICHMOND, Va. – For the third time in the past three years, an assistant coach from the VCU Basketball staff will be given the reins of their own Division I program. Will Wade, an integral presence on Shaka Smart's staff over the past four years, has been named head coach at UT-Chattanooga.

"I could not be more excited about the opportunity to lead the Chattanooga basketball program," Wade said in a UTC release. "We will build a program the student-athletes, alumni, and fans all take great pride in. We will employ a fast paced, pressing style of play similar to VCU. I cannot wait to get to work."

The 30-year-old Nashville native becomes the 18th head coach in Chattanooga's 90-year history and takes over a Mocs' squad that finished 13-19 a year ago, including 8-10 in the Southern Conference.

Wade's hire sprouts another branch on Smart's expanding coaching tree. He joins Mike Jones (Radford) and Jamion Christian (Mt. St. Mary's) as VCU assistant coaches that have made the leap to Division I head coaching positions since the Rams' magical Final Four run in 2011.
