"Close to nil" is a little strong, but there's no denying the importance of tonight's game. There are plenty of opportunities for quality wins within the conference. That said, Providence/NC State/OK State looks a lot more attractive an option than Providence/Penn State/UNC Asheville.

I don't know when we last went down to Puerto Rico, but in 1999 I do recall counting on getting Tennessee in the second round if we could get by then-unknown Southern Illinois (at least to me at the time). Instead, we lost to SIU, thumped AU-Puerto Rico, and then got blasted by BC ... rather than SIU then Tennessee then I think Tulsa. It makes me nervous that Tennessee's in this field again.

It is the expectation of most of the UMass fan base that this UMass team is capable of at least being a bubble team. The OOC schedule is so weak that getting off of the bubble will likely require winning a few of the conference games against conference leaders.

Looking forward to seeing Dayton play. I always like wins against the Pac 12... I don't see them as a better conference than the A10.

^^^Absolutely. Outside of Arizona they really haven't been particularly impressive for years.

Dayton goes on an 8-0 run and now leads 12-8 with 12:15 left in the first half.

Good game so far.

Seems like some keys to this game on the Dayton side will be transition defense and boxing out.

The Flyers are shooting the ball very poorly, but they're playing hard and defending well.

20-20 at the under 4. Sounds like a very up & down game, but surpisingly few fouls, unfortunetly the 2 on Dilliard makes this a "just stay in it" 1st half for UD, which they're obviously doing.

Are you still living in Ireland Muddy? Gotta be nice to have a midweek game at a "normal" time for you in the Green Isle (if you still live there)
