Re: 11/15 A-10 Games
Wasn't able to watch so I can't really comment much other than saying I am pissed they ruined my lock of the day pick.
What are the backgrounds of DK's assistants? Anyone with head coaching experience? DI, DII, DII? Anyone with a good in game coaching pedigree? If not maybe they need to be looking around for that.

Re: 11/15 A-10 Games
![]() Excited about pulling out the first one, happy to get this one but this is a team and these are individuals that are very frustrating to watch. Ups and downs are ridiculous. OK Friars, now go out and win the rest of your games. |

Re: 11/15 A-10 Games
And yet ... they won.
I never draw conclusions from one game, especially early in the year. Yet UMass under Kellogg drives me crazy. Lack of discipline, quick shots, careless turnovers and periods of lethargy are all too common. The team has a lot of talent and UMass can beat just about any opponent when they are on their game - but they could also lose to just about anyone, too. I admit, I am not crazy about this style of play. I never would have thought Kellogg would coach a team like that. He was the opposite of all the things I dislike about his teams when he was a player at UMass. He also got thoroughly outcoached by Ed Cooley, who I really like. He did amazing stuff at Fairfield and he looks like he's going to do it at PC. And yet ... they won. Again. At the last second. Good teams find a way to win. UMass is good. I just don't know how good. Last edited by WH; 11-15-2012 at 07:00 PM. |

Very happy with the win and hope they keep getting better as the OOC schedule progresses.

Re: 11/15 A-10 Games
No kidding. DK as a player was over-disciplined and far too often passed up his shot (which was the best on the team). He really needs to get his shit together coachingwise. JHe is way too basketball smart to coach like this.

Re: 11/15 A-10 Games
that would be 4 for the umass game and 8 for the richmond game, umass wins by 2 and richmond by 10 (both will be wins)
