Re: 11/16 A-10 Games
Good for St Joe.
Spent most of the day in Lexington taking in my first game at Rupp, so I haven't seen the Dayton game yet. Firing up the replay on Watch ESPN right now. Great seeing Dyshawn Pierre had a heck of a game. It was evident from first sight that the kid can play.

Where's Guster?
Great win, love taking down any big east squad, much less a ranked one!

@BSnowScout: If St. Joe's holds on just an absolutely huge win for them come seeding time. Also it is clear St. Joe's is team to beat in A-10 right now

Re: 11/16 A-10 Games
The Hawks frontline is, in my view, the best we've seen in the A-10 since Camby, Donta Bright, Dana Dingle and Ty Weeks controlled the paint for UMass in 1996.
Just love Ron Roberts. Wonder if Steve Lavin wishes he had re-recruited Roberts for St. Johns instead of letting him out of his letter of intent. Manna from heaven when the Hawks got him. Roberts was a fantastic high school player. Kanacevic is an unusual hybrid player. A power point, the announcer said. I cannot recall another college bigman running an offense like he does from a frontcourt position. Aiken looks a lot stronger and even more explosive. My two big concerns for the Hawks this year were finding a third really good guard and another decent frontcourt player for the regular rotation. Well, Chris Wilson answered one question. He was spectacular starting at PG in place of Jones. Looked very confident and played a terrific game. Now the Hawks arguably have the league's best frontcourt AND backcourt. Martelli still needs to find that fourth forward. SJU needs a little more depth. Even in las night's game you could see the Hawks tire in the second half. Good thing ND only used seven players in the game, too. Their legs went late in the game and Irish missed a handful of good looks from deep. |
