Re: 11/19 A-10 Games

Butler was still horendous outside of 10 feet, but at least that pushes aside the claim that Butler isn't tough enough for the A10. That game was a war.

Re: 11/19 A-10 Games

Jerome Allen threw a pen and it splattered causing a technical that gives Fordham the lead with 1:30 left.

Re: 11/19 A-10 Games

70-68 Fordham gets the upset and their first win of the season. Butler wins on a 3 point buzzer beater and Fordham wins because in part the Penn coach threw a pen. Just another normal day in the A-10.

Why did he throw a pen? Accident, or mad about a call? Sounds bizarre.

It happened after a Penn foul so it was on purpose but the Fordham radio guys didn't know if he just threw the pen down or if he slammed his clipboard down and the pen splattered because of it. Either way they had to take 30 seconds to clean it and the technical was assessed.

SLU 32-23 TA&M at the half

Ugly game. Remekun is playing well (4-4 FG, 2 blocks) after missing the Santa Clara game.

Re: 11/19 A-10 Games

This is why it's never a good idea to judge a team on one game. Butler looked physically outclassed and weak against X, but was strong and tough against Marquette. (Indeed, I think Butler will get payback vs. X later in the season).

It's early. Won't be until mid-December or a bit later that we get a really good read on most teams. Some teams come together faster than others.
