Re: VCU Memphis
Awesome job by Rams 3. Huge marquee win of the season for the A10! Nice having you guys on board. With Wichita State looking better by the game, that loss is not even damaging, and is more than made up for by this win.

Re: VCU Memphis
Every time I see VCU play, I am impressed. Even in that Witchita State game, I thought they played great. Witchita State was just very good and poised. VCU has to be one of the top 3 teams in this league, IMO. You have to have fantastic guard play to beat them.

Re: VCU Memphis
Thanks guys. It was a good win for us and frankly more like what we expected going into the season.
I agree with Wichita State. They are pretty good despite all they lost and them winning the Cancun Challenge convincingly seems to support that. Treveon Graham filled in nicely for Brad Burgess in the go-to scorers role with 26 points and our shooting was markedly improved. We won't see a team that athletic or explosive in the A-10. How about that lob dunk on the inbounds play to D.J. Stephens?! Whew. It was just one game though. Shots won't always fall like that for us, but when they do, we are going to be extremely tough to beat.

Re: VCU Memphis
Hahahaha, when I was typing that I remembered Butler/UNC and St. Joe's/ND and then went back and changed it really poorly. Mea culpa! Definitely a great win by VCU, though. I am not at all looking forward to VCU/Dayton.

Re: VCU Memphis
Maybe this time Memphis will quit messing with A-10 teams.

Re: VCU Memphis
Congrats to the Rams. It was fun watching you today, since it wasn't all that great watching what went on in sunny Southern California.
I liked the shot of all those 8/9 digit yachts in the marina. Gotta love how those Duke fans travel. |

Re: VCU Memphis
I'm really impressed with the job Pastner is doing recruiting and defending the Memphis turf. Their on the court performance has been really inconsistent, though. They need to toughen up for the Big East, assuming there are any teams left in the conference by the time they arrive.
