Nope. We played like total crap and won by 8. Manhattan is picked second in MAAC....nothing earth shattering about Manhattan but they returned all 5 starters from last years team.

You're obviously not paying attention - either to the system that Richmond runs on defense, or who our starters are this year. We have a 5'8" combo guard who comes off the bench and our starters go 6'1, 6'3", 6'5", 6'6", 6'9". The guys who come off the bench at the 3 are 6'5" and 6'7". Or both. Also, you didn't pay attention to the fact that Garrett went for the block almost every time last year, foregoing solid rebounding position in the process much of the time.

Sorry, I'm just bitter about the meltdown today.

When Richmond clicks on offense, by shooting good percentages and not turning the ball over, rebounding is much less an issue. When they don't, they give up 21 more shot attempts to their opponents and get embarrassed, no matter who is on the court.

Tough loss, but Phil Pressey won the game more than we lost it. 2 huge buckets after we took the lead with 1:31 left.

I feel pretty good about where we are in November after playing 3 ranked teams consecutively over 3 days and I think we can learn a lot from this experience.

Coach K had some very nice words to say after beating Louisville tonight to win the Battle 4 Atlantis when he really didn't have to: "The VCU game knocked the heck out of us. They are so good."

We have a long way to go until March, but I think most people around the country know VCU is for real again this year. Once we get better in the half court offense we will be pretty scary in my opinion.

The defensive tenacity this team has displayed so far this season hasn't been seen in a long time in Charlotte. Our games aren't pretty, but wins are wins. 6-0 feels great!
