Re: 11/25 A-10 Games
Rhode Island stinks ... but they play very hard and are well coached. The team is much more than the sum of its parts. Really nice and well-deserved win.
Hurley looks like a fantastic hire. This year will be tough, but I could see the Rams making a big move next season with all the transfers and good recruits coming in. Munford is an extremely good player, though URI relies on him too much. Not that there's another option ... |

Re: 11/25 A-10 Games
idk what you have been watching WH but URI has been playing hard and in close games, they need to learn how to finish the game but honestly if you watched the games they should be 3-3. Blew a lead against Seton Hall and Loyola

Re: 11/25 A-10 Games
I've seen 3 games so far, twisted, and as I pointed out, Rhody is playing hard. Still not a good team, though, because of a plain lack of talent. That's not going to change this year.
All the more reason I find Hurley's coaching so impressive. Only player who can regularly create a shot is Munford and he often does it with little help. Of course, that's why URI has not been able to win those other close games. Another player or two has to become a more consistent offensive option in the closing minutes. |

Re: 11/25 A-10 Games
Although Rhody lacks offensive talent, the team has above-average athleticism. Hurley is relying on that athleticism to get the Rams to work really hard on defense - a lot harder than the guys at my alma mater. URI gave Auburn fits with ball pressure and scored a bunch of turnovers.

Re: 11/25 A-10 Games
Congrats to URI. A10 teams need to get them this year because they will be good as early as next season when the three transfers become eligible and their young players have a season under their belts. Could be scary good in a couple years. The Hurley's can coach and recruit so they'll do well there.

Re: 11/25 A-10 Games
By taking a harmless jab so personally? That's butthurt.
Your team has been beaten at home by Central Connecticut State. Losing to Villanova would have been crushing with only one other OOC game of note. I said stop sucking. They did. Good. The league needed it. I'll tell UMass to stop sucking if they are struggling with Siena in their next game, I said it out loud many times at Dayton on Saturday. I want every team to win, but especially all the supposed contenders and maybe contenders. Keep winning games. Stop sucking. Now stop being butthurt all the time.
